To Whom It May Concern:We offer a Home Study distance learning program that student enroll in on a rolling basis. Students are give 9 months to complete all course requirements for the program. Students that don't complete the course requirements within the time frame we sometime grant an...

extension of 3months for a fee to complete the course . If student do not complete the course they are dropped from the program as a breech of the course requirements. This student never finished the theory portion of the course. Students can not do the clinical portion of the course until the theory portion is successfully completed. This student was granted and extension of 3 months and a leave of absence  of 5 months. We tried to assist this student but, are not responsible for her procrastination with the course time lines.   The Program Director that worked with her has documentation in her file about not moving through the course .This student was in the program almost 2 years and still did not complete the theory portion of the course. She mentions the clinical portion in all our material that is the Student responsibility. She could not complete the clinical portion because she never completed the theory portion of the course. We are not responsible for student who are unable to complete the course within the timelines that we have given. We have other students that are completing the time line in under the course timelines. We are not granting this student a refund for the course that she enrolled in almost 2 years ago. We have been fair to her and kept her in the program beyond the time but, are not responsible for her completing the course work . This is an advance nursing program its the students responsibility to complete the course requirements.Jill B[redacted]Presidentstudent enrolled in the course in October 1, 2014. She was to be completetd

May 31, 2016We are an advance Nursing Education Program. This student paid her tuition on 12-30-15 and received a tuition discount. Our program we required documents to be in before the student can begin the program. This is the responsibility of the student to produce the documents to start the...

program. Our refund policy is that the student can receive a 50% refund within 15 days from the payment. This student we offered to give her a medical leave so she could complete the program. We work with all students. When this student was notified that a refund was not available she then wanted to proceed with the program. We did request a medical release from her doctor. She then supplied a note from her doctor saying she could not complete the program. This student has been back and forth and just wants her money returned to her after the refund time. We offered to give her a new start date at a later date she did not want that. We have a refund policy in place as we are a business to have a students come back after months with medical issues we would not be in business. We work with all students and are very fair this student just want to challenge our refund policy. Please let me know the outcome. I did offer that the student could come back and Complete the program or come on site. We have student that have had all kinds of health issues and we work with everyone to be fair. Please let me know how we can resolve this matter. We have been in business for 25 year and I have never had a student turn us into the Revdex.com.Please contact me via email : [redacted]netalso have a file on this student with documentation of all the issues and emails.Thank you,Jill B. Wicks Educational ASSOC.

 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:i am requesting Wicks address the core of my complaint; No facilities I contacted would agree to the preceptor contract. None of the responses from Wicks address this issue! I did find preceptors as was required. The facilities would not sign the contract. I asked Wicks, on several occasions, what facilities students in the program in California were able to precept at. They gave no response. If fact, they have never once addressed this issue. Not prior to the end of my enrollment in their program nor after. I asked for help while in the program. They knew that was the reason for the leave of absence. They provided no assistance or support to me during that time. The students must already be working as WOC nurses and are able to get credit that way? I do not know. When I signed up for this program, it was with the understanding that this school could provide the required components for eligibility to take the certificate exam. This is not the case. They cannot provide the preceptor experience. For that reason I am due a refund. It is very frustrating to me that Wicks claims no fault in this situation. They refuse to even address the issue. What would 6 more months in the program (their offer in lieu of a refund) do for me when the issue has not been resolved? Without a preceptor, I cannot complete the program! At this point, I would consider a partial refund. I have been in contact with the accediting organization, WOCN, for this school. They are aware of the situation. The WOCN informed me that the school is up for accreditation review soon and my complaint will be considered during that process. I am sure that finding a resolution would be preferable to Wicks at this time.

To Whom It May Concern:My only offer to this student is to give her a 50% refund of the tuition . She paid 2800. plus a non refundable $75 application fee. We do not give refunds of 100 % unless it is done from 3 days of a payment.  If the student agrees to this we have 30 days to process this payment from the date this is accepted. I would also like this dispute to be removed from the Revdex.com. I have tried to work with this student and this is my only offer at this time. The amount is $1,400. we also charge a processing fee and I will waive that off the refund amount which that fee is $250. Her refund amount will be $1400.Please let us know if the student accepts this offer. Thank you,Jill B[redacted]PresidentWicks Educational Assoc.
