Thank you for the opportunity for our business to respond to complaint number *** filed by Mrs***I am shocked that she would take the time to file a complaint with your organization considering the events that occurred.As stated, Mrs*** came to The Cosmo Theatre with her daughter
to view Furious Her daughter is an employee of our local radio station and was attempting to use a media passThe purpose of this pass is for radio station employees to view movies so they can review and recommend them on the air as advertisingPart of the agreement of the media pass is that the employee must understand if there are too few patrons or a sell out on a particular show the movie may not be usedThe pass is also intended to be used at the start of a movies run and not the end as we do not wish to advertise features we no longer haveMrs*** clearly stated that she did not particularly care about this film as she had already seen in at our competitors theatre and that she came this particular evening because it was the final showingShe was told by one of our partners that we would have to wait and see if other patrons attended the show before we would promise to show it. Had other customers come we would have run the feature but with the terms of the guest pass we are not obligated to do so.It is our understanding that Mrs***s daughter is a new employee of the radio station***, a theatre owner, told them that he would speak to her supervisor regarding the issue to be sure that she understood the terms of the pass in the future. Both mother and daughter were then infuriated and starting to make a sceneAt this point *** calmly told them he would also speak to her supervisor in regards to this behavior as she is using the guest media pass and is representing her employerThis particular employer is one we have a long standing excellent business and personal relationship withAs someone in business we feel he should know how his staff represents his business to the public and his customers.We naturally intended to run the movies as advertised as we have a very strict contract with the film companiesThe allegation that the Cosmo is falsely advertising its features is ridiculousThe fact is a new employee did not understand the terms of the pass she was given and her mother felt slighted.Thank you for your time and consideration,*** ***The Cosmo Theatre Inc.Merrill, WI 54452owner/manager
