Rude customer service. Not helpful. Useless. Worthless. Customer "service" rep claims that even though I am listed under the policy, I am not entitled access to the policy because it would violate the "privacy rights" of the named policyholders, my father and my mother. Moreover, I am not formally a "power of attorney". Hence, per [redacted], I cannot obtain a copy of the policy I am listed under. Where, in the law, does it state this? I need a copy of the policy so that I can verify my identity for another business. I need a photo ID and a non-photo ID to verify my identity at this other business. For non-photo ID, I chose the auto policy. Because I, per the rep, could use the policy against my parents, the crabby, rude, belligerent, obstinate rep will not give me a copy. She will not even speak to me about the policy. Moreover, it's group punishment. Per the rep, because other children have used the information against their parents, I cannot view the policy I am listed under. Group punishment. Collective punishment. Because somebody else has done something "bad", I'm punished ahead of time. Moreover, I can somehow change the policy - per [redacted] - if I were able to obtain a copy of this policy. Huh? Wouldn't the policyholder have to sign off on it? How would my obtaining a copy of the policy change the policy?Desired SettlementProvide a copy of the policy to me at absolutely no charge. Where in the law does it state what you claim. We refer you to the Privacy Notice provided with your parents policy to answer your question regarding their privacy rights. If your parents wish you to have access to their policy information they will need to advise us of this and we will note the account. Where within the Privacy Notice does it state what you claim? That is one feature to this complaint. I am listed under this policy. And yet I am not allowed to see it. I am not asking to change it.
