My dispute with Age-Craft does not reflect on the business I purchased the awning from. Age-Craft's horrendously incorrect instruction is the subject of my complaint along with their warranty statement that voids warranty if the "directions" are not followed. I purchased Age-Craft's awning based on review of the installation instructions and recommendation of the vendor. That vendor acknowledged that the instructions were not usable and in order to secure some assurance that the unit would be covered by some warranty, I elected to have the vendor install it. Age-Craft must face up to the fact that their instructions are useless and correct or remove them. it is unreasonable for a company to publish incorrect information and then to void their warranty based on that incorrect informationTo make this situation even worse, Age-Craft claims that I ordered custom parts that caused the instruction error when only of approximately parts were custom and that change did not affect the basic unit construction

order the standard ACbecause he did not want louvered side sections Our instruction sheet is for the standard ACwith louvered side sections We were able to manufacture the awning to the customer’s specifications, however we are not able to customize an instruction for every customer’s special request Awnings by nature are a bit difficult to install if you have no experience When the customer sent an email to us describing his problem, we immediately contacted our authorized dealer Our dealer ask us not to respond to the customer’s email and said that he was working with the customer to resolve his problem Our dealer even had his install technicians call the customer and try to walk him through the installation by phone The customer was still not able to install his awning even with this help by phone from our dealer Our dealer gave the customer a price of $for them to install his awning as he did not purchase it installed to begin with The customer agreed on the price, had it installed and paid our dealer for the install In our estimation, that is a very reasonable price for the installation of the awning Age Craft received the order from our authorized dealer, confirmed that was exactly what the customer wanted with our dealer, manufactured the product and delivered it to our dealer Age Craft cannot be responsible for installation when, the customer purchased our product uninstalled from our dealer, was not able to install it and went back to our dealer for help with installation Our dealer offered phone support to help the customer but the customer was still not able to install it. Revdex.com, The parts that the customer changed were the entire sides of the awning The standard awning is supplied with louvered side sections and if ordered that way our instruction sheet explains exactly how to assemble and install the awning However, this customer did not want the louvered side sections, instead he wanted end wings, which attach differently than a louvered side section On ordering, this was all explained to our customer and confirmed with his customer As I stated before, Age Craft cannot customize our installation instructions for every special request Age Craft has manufactured and shipped our awnings all through the United States for years and we have had no problems or complaints regarding our assembly and installation instructions That being said, if you have no experience installing an awning, the awning should be purchased as installed Instructions sheets explain the basic installation for the standard awning, however an instruction sheet cannot possibly cover every special request or unusual situation As far as Age Craft is concerned this matter is closed. Age Craft is again purposely clouding the subject to cover up the false information they are using as advertising on their web site.  It is incomprehensible for a reputable company to misrepresent their information as Age Craft does.  Due to the dishonesty of Age Craft I will no longer do any business with them.
