Wilder Auto & Tip Top Tire Reviews (%countItem)

I have used the same "trusted" auto service center for over 18 yrs. I am local born, now am self employed for over 5 years and am booked solid on repeats and refurals and decided long ago to try to and develop a business relationship with a trusted garage.
I bought my second car, once I hit 18 and had a job from ***, the owner of tip top auto/ tire in wrj vt. I gave him $750 down and he entrusted me for the other $3000. I made payment and paid it off and from then on I decided any thing with my cars I could not do or did not have the time to do I would be happy for *** to take care of my vehicle ( I can't inspect myself..and he dose tires.....) and planning on making my own business locally.

Well life is a journey and I as we all do made wrong decisions when I was younger, however, done my best to learn from them. And I have created something worth having. Look up the business name, keep it real contracting llc. You will find that it's not in good standing because I moved from Claremont nh to Woodstock/Quechee vt and I have no employees so an llc nevermind it's expenses dosnt work for me.
Anyway, back to the point. I have been entrusting in this certified shop for ALL of my adult life to take care of my vehicles !!
AND IN REALITY,
Ever since the owner of tip top tire and or auto *** died;
And the service manager *** (*** rite hand man) who is now seeing ***, things have changed drastically around that business and not in a good way.

I do most my own work auto wise or have friends and family help me but, sometimes it feels good to say ...I know I need $1500.-$2000. Worth of work done combined, to three off my vehicles, and why not give back to the local community. because it's convenient, they are friendly, *** is one of the most experienced auto guys you will ever meet. (*** taught him) and very family oriantated place of business!
Well recently things are starting to make more sense....
I have been going threw major misfortune with auto repairs for months now. Every time I bring one of my vehicles here, usually for something very simple, very shortly after.... what do you know I have at least one more major issue come up with that rig very soon. These people are deliberately messing up people's vehicles to create there own work load and schedule. Loosening parts, adding stuff to fluids and just down rite shady business. They are very sneaky and well play it off very well. And relying on the fact there is no way they can be caught because they are the experts and nobody can catch them in the act in there own shop.
I brought my 2002 *** hd work truck in for inspection and a heli cool. It had engine light on for a misfire because of the needed heli coil. $700 later the truck was done and inspected, but came out with the engine light on. Also, I found that they charged me for front breaks when they left the old one in the truck for "spares" and they where over %80 new and no uneven wear. I still have the old break pass. I figured the check engine light would reset itself after driving. It did not I had them read the coad and now all of a sudden it need a knock sensor. I asked them to schedule it and told *** and ***, the owner and shop manager. This is my work truck. I need it %100. *** told me it was a pain in the but and it wasn't worth it, it was a throw away truck. This truck is close to mint condition and I have about $10,000 into it, most threw repairs at tip top auto over the last few years.
Second issue.
I finally saved long and hard enough to buy my dream truck, and the truck I need for work. I purchased a very nice next to mint turn key 2006 *** power stroke diesel low miles custom build. One of a kind truck. A very expensive truck. I have drove this truck a few thousand miles since owning it. I have towed w it plowed with it and used it exactly like you would expect to use a one ton truck. This truck raflawlessly. I brought my truck in for Inspection, yes months after having it because I needed time to fabricate and install mud flaps for inspection. It need a pitman arm wich I brought in with me. Tip top told me it needed drag links and tie rod end as well. Of course trusting my machanic I said go ahead. ( 2 days before I had them do $750 worth of work to my other truck). So quite a few days later and almost a thousand dollars fee. My *** gets inspected. I bring it home and it sits for a few days then I need to tow so I use it. Light 6500 pound load, check engine comes on. I call *** he said not to worry if it's running rite. Probably running a bit rich. Brought home the truck and it sat for a couple weeks. Then went to use my truck again what do you know, blown up on the side of the rd. White smoke pouring ext ext. get it towed back to tip top. Being very machanically inclined I do a bunch of research while on the side of the rd. and explain to *** last Friday we need to start with the ficm. I also explained that I am concerned with all the front end work they just did to my truck cause the truck wasn't steering rite any more. And the stuff was noticeable loose. I asked to order the ficm and put it in. It's a very simply process. And fix front end. Well after a lot of lies and *** Friday *** from tip top calls a week later and tell me she has *** is doing a starter in my *** cause I must have smoked it. And no they have not even ordered the ficm yet...and I did not authorize a starter. I finally Decided I'm over it and going to get my cars back and wow. They totally messed up more on my truck. They totally sabataged my truck. Motor and more could be junk now and I can't use it to continue growing my business. I had it towed home at my expense and the tow truck driver made it very clear this is not the first time he has herd of tip top tire messing with people's cars to create there own work flow.....and it's in my yard until I get paid Tao I can pay to tow it again to the *** dealer for a quote.
And yup...third problem..
I brought my turn key 2010 *** convertible in to tip top the day they released my *** back the first time(finally got my wife her dream car) this car was brought in for inspection. in for inspection. The absolutely only thing this car needed was the passenger side rear wheel sensor. I bought the car and went threw it, did a couple repairs and then drove her for a couple thousand miles, running perfect but needed an inspection sticker. Not a dent or scratch on the car. So because I have had such a good relationship with this business and was fortunate to have a few rigs I just dropped my car off with them and told them to call me when it's done. Well 3 days later, my wife and I are busy and our 6 yr old and second pregnancy make sure of that, I call to ask if it's all set and I can pic it up. I am told that they are having problems getting it running..... I left work and went in to talk with ***. He said it needed a starter. So I said well I guess go ahead. Days later, nope can't figure it out. Won't start. Then I asked to take it to *** cars or get it towed to the *** dealer because my wife needs her car for work. *** assured me he would, he wanted to run a few more test but would send it out asap. Then we talk more and he convinced me ***s are a pain in the but and I should get out from under it. And that he will grab me a rig at the auction and then just trade me for the ***. Wich he could slowly fix and sell on his lot for more. Now 5 weeks later, the car is mysteriously flooded, either someone left the top down or deliberately poured water in my car.... *** asked me if I had full coverage insurance....blaming it on a common *** problem. I just detailed my car and had the floor mats out before bringing it there. It was perfectly dry and turn key. Ready for the INSPECTION Iwhicj is why I brought it in for , 5 weeks later my car needs thousands of dollars in repairs and I had to go to tip top and get a local towing company to tow my car home. Broken. At my expense and the same day as my ***. Then had to tow it to Burlington, to the *** dealer and that cost me a transmission, and transfer case in my buddies truck. The car is at the dealer and they found the no start problem with 7 minutes. A ground was pulled off the battery that goes to the fire wall. If this is off the car will not start. The have made it clear it will be thousands to fix and I am paying the bill upfront because I need my wife's car back to be able to work.

How can these people keep getting away with this and ripping off the very community many of us are trying to build. I hope that everyone who has had similar issues with tip top tire will come forward so we can join together.
I would like them to be held accountable for there actions and the damages to my vehicles. I feel it's only rite they pay the *** dealer and the *** dealer out of their pocket because this will financially ruin me. I also think that it is only rite I am reimbursed for every dollar I have spent at tip top auto.
Also if you look it up the business on your site said it's owned by ***... he's been dead a long time. Hmmm weird... please help with these evil corrupt people and help me to fix my cars so I can work and take care of my family. Ohh yeah, after stopping in the shop last Saturday and speaking with *** directly who was working on anouther vehicles he said %100, I will not leave here today until one of your cars island fixed, or I trade you one. This was at 1030 am last Saturday. He begged me to give him till noonish. I came back at 1225 and everyone was gone and the place locked up tight. I finally got in touch with ***s son on his cell and made it clear I needed my keys so I could bring my vehicles else where. My wife son and I waited at tip top auto for 5hrs after ***s son confirming, he spoke w *** and someone would be there shortly with my keys. No keys ever came and *** and *** happily took off to Alaska. Left me wo any keys or cars. Thank you for reading my post. ***.

Wilder Auto & Tip Top Tire Response

There are several incorrect statements in ***’ account. We have only had *** as a customer for possibly two years and *** did not start working here until January of 2015 and never, in fact, worked with *** who passed away in April of 2014. None of the vehicles we’ve worked on for *** has been in “mint” condition.

2002 ***

*** brought this truck in for an inspection helicoil (which he had tried to repair himself and messed up) on 6/20/2017. He also needed front brakes and sway bar links which he provided and a driver’s side outside door handle which we provided. He asked us to change the brakes from the beginning as he provided the parts. The check engine light was indeed the knock sensor. *** advised *** that you can pass inspection this year with one check engine light and that doing the knock sensor was very expensive, considering the rusty condition of the truck. He in no way said it was a “throw away”. In 2016 and 2017, we have performed $2293.21 worth of work to this vehicle, some of which was tires, wheels, alignment, and undercoating (see attached invoices).

2006 ***

After performing work on this truck himself, *** brought it in to us for inspection (6/28/2017) and to install a pitman arm which he provided. Upon performing the inspection, the mechanic found it also needed a center drag link and tie rod end which we provided. On 7/22/2017, *** called *** and asked if we could have the truck towed to us as he broke down on the side of the road and had no money and did not want it to be impounded. To be nice, we said yes. He said it was running funny, no power and had white smoke. We informed him we could look at it, but that we are not a diesel repair shop (which he was very well aware of) and he may have to take it elsewhere. *** scanned the truck which indicated a fuel filter and we did install a new starter, though we don’t have any techs here named ***. *** told *** he believed it may have a cracked inner cooler as there was no fluid in the reservoir and he would need to take it to a dealer or specialty repair shop as this just is not our forte. As for the truck not steering right, *** had previously disclosed to *** that he and his wife had gotten in to a fight and she had taken the truck and “beaten on it” on purpose, “hitting every pothole she could find. “

2010 ***

*** and *** brought her 2010 *** in on 6/28/2017 for an inspection and to have us install a wheel sensor she had purchased herself. However, she forgot the wheel sensor and didn't bring it to us until almost closing (we close at 4:30 pm) on Friday 6/30/2017, at which time we informed her we would be closed until Wednesday 7/7/2017 for the Fourth of July holiday. We didn't even look at the car until then. When we tried to start the car before we ever even got it into the garage, it would not start. *** tested it with a scan tool and the scan tool indicated 11 error codes and that the vehicle needed a new starter. ***'s husband *** informed *** that he had changed the thermostat in the car himself. *** asked if he had disconnected a ground when he did this and *** replied that he absolutely had not. When *** went to look at the fuse box on the passenger side floor, he noticed approximately 1.5 inches of water pooled in the floor board. At this time he called *** and spoke to *** who told *** it was probably a footwell module (which is on the drivers side) and that ***s are known for having this issue. We informed *** this was beyond the scope of what we could do and suggested he bring the car to a specialty shop or dealer for repair. We did say that if it was the footwell module due to hydrolocking, insurance would probably cover it. Since this time, both *** and *** have made repeated threats both through telephone calls and text messaging to some of our technicians. We had to file a theft of services report with the Town of *** Police Department in order to be paid for the starter and for work we did on ***'s truck during the same time frame. The police officer advised us to get a No Trespass order due to all of the threats. We charged only cost for the parts to both vehicles and zero labor just to get the matter resolved because we believe they are unstable. We in no way sabotaged either vehicle or caused them any damage.

Since this time, both *** and *** have made repeated threats both through telephone calls and text messaging to some of our technicians. We had to file a theft of services report with the Town of *** Police Department in order to be paid for the starter and for work we did on ***'s truck during the same time frame) because they came and got the vehicles while we were closed. I have a hard time believing a towing company did it since all of the local companies call ahead to ensure the customer does not have an outstanding bill. The police officer also advised us to get a No Trespass order due to all of the threats. We charged only cost for the parts to both the *** and the *** and zero labor just to get the matter resolved because we believe they are unstable. We in no way sabotaged either vehicle or caused them any damage.
