Revdex.com,I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID *** and have determined that this does not resolve my complaintFor your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Regards,*** ***
In response to the information received from Wilder Dental
Nov5,
I was indeed in the room the entire time and the dentist explained the work he was doing. He did NOT inform me any of additional cost in any way, shape or form
They say they were in no way misleading but the time to inform me of additional cost was certainly at the time they knew there would be
As far as not being able to stop the work, there were appointmentsI could have certainly halted the work after the first appointment
The rest of my daughters teeth were done at another clinic in more appointments at 1/of the time it took at DrW***
As far as "returning after-the -fact in order to demand that I change the amount
charge for the work that I have already provided while making disparaging remarks about my character
and ethical behavior is unconscionable"
I questioned the amount from the time I was given the cost and received no communication other than they wanted the moneyI have done nothing but state the factsI think the language used her speaks for itself
in regards to Tonia's response:
I did not come in concerning my daughters soda habitThey are the ones that said the soda was hurting her teeth after I told them I allowed her to have one a dayI came in for an exam and cleaning
I did not ever, in any way say that I would be willing or needed to pay more that the half of the sign we agreed to until I received the amount from Meagan over the phone of the final amountAt that time I was so floored I broke down and criedI told Meagan I guess I had no choice but to give them the entire amount and asked for some time to recover from the shock
They have only asked for more money in any communication I have tried to receive after this point
I beleive I am responsible for my actions and making the world around me a better placeI almost always go above and beyond to be more than fair in any instance of a misunderstanding
That is why I am willing to go ahead and give them the entire amount of the sign I did for them
But I had additional costs also for the work I did for them in the amount of

Dear Revdex.com,, I am writing to address the complaint issued in case #[redacted]. With regard to the statement that the complainant was unaware of what treatment costs would ultimately amount to; we are sending the original treatment estimate which the complainant signed. This estimate states without...

confusion that this is only an estimate and that changes may occur as we may find unforeseen factors. The complainant was in the room during the treatment of her daughter and was informed that the nature of her treatment was changing. The decay in question was far more substantial than what was previously expected and the complainant was in fact shown by myself the extent of the breakdown of her daughter's teeth. There were no objections offered at the time treatment was being performed and treatment was rendered in the most appropriate manner for the conditions present. In no way was any attempt made to mislead the complainant and every attempt was made to keep her informed as treatment progressed. We make every attempt here to make as accurate a diagnosis as possible in order to give patients the closest possible treatment estimates. We often find that situations are more complicated than they at first appeared which is why our estimates state as such. I am unable to dictate the oral conditions that individual patients present with and it is also critical to remember that once treatment has been initiated, it must be completed. We inform patients and/or their parents when things change so they are aware of the circumstances. When such changes occur they require far greater time, energy and material costs to complete and hence increase the costs of treatment. Where I can empathize with the concerns the Complainant has regarding additional costs, the severity of her daughter's tooth decay, of which I have no c:ontrol over, necessitated more work and more cost for me. Costs that I should not be required to bare. A comparison was eluded to between charging more than the estimate and for creating our sign and the variation in costs for the dental treatment In question. Where this comparison may seem to be appropriate, I would draw your attention to a very critical difference. When fabricating something such as a sign, if the parties come to a disagreement over the costs involved the work can simply be halted until the disagreement can be resolved. As previously stated, restorative work on a patient's teeth, once initiated, must be completed. Once initiated, I am ethically and legally bound to complete the treatment in the most appropriate manner. I do not have the luxury of leaving decay or cutting comers in order to keep the estimates from changing. With that said I must reiterate that the treatment provided was provided ethically, properly and in good faith. Additionally, I believe that returning after-the -fact in order to demand that I change the amount. charge for the work that I have already provided while making disparaging remarks about my character and ethical behavior is unconscionable. Dear Revdex.com, We received your correspondence regarding case ID [redacted]. When said complainant came to our office ,we were under the impression that she was concerned, about her daughters soda habit and she wanted a full exam and "cleaning''. Upon the initial appointment, Dr. W[redacted] did a comprehensive exam and found several issues that needed addressed. Upon presenting the complainant with a full evaluation of her treatment, she was told that everything is an estimate and that it could change. She agreed on moving forward with the treatment presented, signed the document and we scheduled and performed the services. During this time, she presented us with a quote to redo our sign out front of $950.00. We agreed at the time to trade for half of that. She said that would be fine knowing that she would still owe on the extensive treatment her daughter was receiving. When the sign was completed, she asked if we could trade the whole amount as her account was getting large and her insurance would be maxed out with only with all the work that was being done. To help her out, we agreed. At that point we had not received any insurance payment. We have been in business for over 20 years and handle every financial conversation the same way with every patient and in the upmost professional manner. At the very most, the bill is still owed of $346.44. We honored her requests and expect nothing more in return but for her to honor her bill. My Financial Coordinator was in correspondence with her and the following, with my approval as office manager, is what took place. Please see below. Thank You, Tonia W[redacted] Office Manager
