July, 2015: Had Wilderness Custom Exteriors Roofing Division replace our log house's cedar shakes with a Cambridge Lifetime Shingle along with adding a plywood sub-surfaceBelieve me, out of solicited roofing company quotes, Wilderness Custom Exteriors was the only company to 'commit' to the new installGiven that the rafters were the original logs, creating a flat surface for the plywood was a challenge no other local company was willing to attempt! Their roofing division leader/Project Manager/Coordinator, MrDarrell ***, took on this very interesting & difficult project for which my spouse & I will be for forever grateful! To say the least, this roofing job presented numerous issues not normally present in typical re-roofing projects given it's log rafter design! It must be stated that Darrell handled the whole project with great patience and professional acumenThere were many opportunities/issues where a contractor might give up but not Mr***He pursued this challenge with gusto and determination to complete it in as professional a resultant product as the original structure's deviations from the norm would allowTo work in the heat of July on our roof was amazing to witness as Darrell & crew (James & Evan) demonstrated an exemplary work ethic throughout the install that others were unwilling to commit to! As a result of Darrell's work ethic & professional demeanor in particular, we have a new roof that, without question, has added significant aesthetics to the overall look of the log houseWe were very concerned that transitioning from a natural cedar shakes look to a shingle might be a high riskMr [redacted] assured us that we would be happy with his product install and, he was absolutely correct! We love the 'new' look as it fits in beautifully with our log structure, enhancing our home overall more so than when the shakes were on! Given our positive experience with Wilderness Custom Exteriors Roofing Division and Mr***'s professional approach to carrying out this rather difficult roofing job, I would not hesitate in the least to 'highly' recommend them to my friends and associates! Also, found the Office Manager, Debbie [redacted] , to be a treat to work with! She was always on top of all matters of an administrative nature and so pleasant to talk to! She is an asset, along with Darrell, to the company! Thank you WCE as you did what no other local roofing company was willing to do! That, in my opinion, speaks volumes for Wilderness Custom Exteriors! You created a great looking, awesome new roof for our family and we are most appreciative!
