WILDERNEST VACATION RENTALS February 12, 2016 Dear Mr. [redacted] and Family,
Wildernest has received notification of the complaint submitted to the Revdex.com regarding your stay with us on January 15, 2016. Safety is always our number...

one priority and Wildernest does acknowledge your concern for you and your family's safety. Each unit is equipped with carbon monoxide detectors per the Lofgren and Johnson Families Carbon Monoxide Safety Act and performed as designed alerting you to a problem upon your arrival and prompting your timely call to our afterhours service. The employees who responded to your call were thoroughly interviewed and written reports of their account are on file. Our staff is well trained and aware of proper protocol pertaining to any suspicion of leak which is to contact Xcel energy. I can assure you those protocols were followed and respected upon arrival and inspection of the unit in response to your call that evening. Our staff waited in the premises for the Xcel technician to arrive to perform a more detailed inspection and diagnosis of the situation which was appropriateand responsible per our operating protocols. The Xcel technician indicated a potential leak from the fireplace and hot water heater. As such, they determined a gas shut off to these appliances was necessary.Once we learned of this necessity, our company made arrangements to move your family to an alternate lodging unit to arrange for immediate notification to the Owner of the Property and the needed repair and/or replacement by authorized plumbing contractors at the Owner direction. (Wildernest manages the rental for the Owner, we are not the Owner) The Owner promptly responded and as it is their requirement to keep all appliances in proper working order; these appliances were repaired/replaced. Obviously your family was relocated out of necessity and to allow what we hope was an enjoyable trip afterward. As far as the report of debris on the pull out sofa, our housekeeping was dispatched and the sofa thoroughly cleaned. Additional protocols are in place to ensure this unfortunate circumstance does not occur in the future, and this Owner was also notified to ensure they give direction to their Manager regarding cleanliness and appropriate remediation needed due to the report you made. For this inconvenience we are offering a refund of $311.62 which is equal to one night's compensation given the circumstances reported to us.  Sincerely, Katie H[redacted]Short Term and Extended Stay Manager
