Wildomar Express Car Wash

Broken equipment damaged my bumper. Owner ,Dave , is shady and won’t give me his insurance information. Will pursue legal action against him.

My wife took our Equus to Wildomar Express Car Wash on Monday, 8/12. Our car is kind of fancy (and expensive) and has electric side mirrors that open and close. She always closes the mirrors before going through a car wash. Once through the car wash, the employee there decided to try and manually open the mirror, breaking it. He apologized and my wife asked for the owner's info. The employee said "she's not going to pay for this because I know her and she won't care". My wife reached out to the the Manager, ***, who told her that they are not liable because they have a disclaimer on their receipt and on their website that says "Wildomar Express Car Wash is not liable for any damage to your vehicle. This includes, but is not limited to: mirrors, wiper blades, side panels, windows, antenna, light covers, fenders and bumpers." My wife didn't receive a receipt nor has she ever visited their website. Here's the thing, the damage wasn't done in the car wash. It was after the car came out when the employee decided to try and forcibly pull out/open an electric mirror on an $80,000 car. This is negligence! And now they are claiming it was a pre-existing condition, which is a lie. Due to their negligence and lack of taking responsibility, I will now have to pay the dealership $1,052.50 to fix my mirror.

Just prior to the car wash, our car was fully serviced at Temecula Hyundai. There was no issue with our mirror or any other component on our car.
