Review: I had purchased the CCNA virtual lab titanium edition 2.0 software ([redacted]) a couple of year ago and activated the product per instructions. I deactivated again acording to the instructions to reinstall on a new computer. I cannot reactive the product because there is a new version available. Since I paid for this particular piece of software I should still be entitled to use it as I purchased it and still should have the right to use the old one. They tell me I must upgrade to the new product. That should not be the case as my old should work because I fully paid for it.Desired Settlement: either activate my older software and make it work or give me the newer version of the product.

Thank you for contacting Wiley. The customer contacted Wiley on July 17, 2014, regarding a software product created in January 2009 to prepare readers for the Cisco 640-802 certification exam. The product's catalog item is ([redacted]). The product was discontinued in March 2014 after the certification exam by Cisco, which is the sole content and subject of the Wiley software product, ceased to be offered to the public on September 30, 2013 and was replaced by Cisco with a different exam and content. This action rendered Wiley's product obsolete. Reference Cisco's website at: [redacted] Please note that Wiley continued the operation of our product for 6 months after the Cisco exam was retired to insure anyone with any exceptions to the testing change had an opportunity to complete the process. The customer requested the product to be reinstated or a new edition provided. The Wiley Representative explained the product has been discontinued due to changes in the Cisco certification exam by Cisco and the RouterSim Software that prepared users for the discontinued Cisco certification exam is now obsolete. Since the exam is no longer valid or available, the software cannot be reinstated. When certification exams change and/or products are updated or discontinued, there is no expressed obligation/warranty by the firm to provide users with future updates and/or new products.
