Wilgus & Johnson Properties Reviews (2)

I started renting from this business in August and I’ve had a world of problems! I have had to t*** criminal charges on one of the employees ( who also is Ed W*** best friend for years) for Assult and I’ve had to pertain a peace order against LeRoy L*** to keep him from coming back to my property because failed email attempts did not help me, I recieved no response! Upon taking these protected procedures, Ed Wi*** personally showed up at my doorstep with threats of throwing me out (never missed rent) and more threats of keeping my new Shed I put on the property with permission, if I went to court on LeRoyI still proceeded with court, leroy was found guilty of assault on me and appealedI reached a settlement with MrWi*** for the intimidation tactics he tried to use into keeping me from receiving justiceThis ALL STARTED over me needing repairs to my home and after countless emails, phone calls, and repeated visits from Mrl*** without being contacted first, NOTHING WAS REPAIRED! I had to call the county of princess Anne and had a letter sent forcing them to do repairs or they would receive finesIn March I was told the construction crew hired had everything fixed but yesterday I opened my window to let the breeze through and about an hour later a window came crashing down on the back of my legs!! I called the state inspector once again and he came out today and made a reportI am now headed back to the court house to put another civil suit on mrWi*** for my rent paid back because he has once again not responded to my email on how we can rectify this situation! Do not rent from these people, they t*** advantage of people who do not know the proper channels to go through when they are living in unsafe conditions!! My family lived in mold, no proper egrass Incase of emergency, a bathtub that was non operable, and the list continues! They refuse to do anything more than the bare minimum when fixing things and hired a registered sexual offenders to come to my property without notifying meIf LeRoy L*** comes to your resident from this company, contact every one you can!!! Their actions could potentially mean life changing for your family like it has been for mineThis is a warning, don’t make the same mistakes my family did and don’t except anything less than what is offered!!

Review: On March 1, 2012 we purchased two lots on [redacted] in [redacted] De. We obtained the services of Wilgus & Johnson Properties with [redacted] as his general contractor. The contract was contingent upon the selling of our present home. We paid almost eighteen thousand dollars for them to get the permits and licenses and site evaluation and to put in foundation. They were to stop with the completion of the foundation and they did. With the purchase of two lots we were advised to combine them into one with the house being in the center of the two lots. We paid the fee to have this done. We were unable to sell our home and told the builder this and that we were going to sell the lot. We called a realtor to put the lot on the market and he said it was never combined and they were still two lots. I talked to [redacted] in Planning and Zoning and she said that because the lots weren't joined the foundation was illegal and must come down. Only one permit was applied for on lot 3 and not a combination of 3 and 4. All the legal permits and licenses are no good because they were never combined. Because they were not combined, we were advised to keep it as two lots because they would be easier to sell. The builder blames the County and the County blames the builder. We thought the builder would be able to help us straighten this mess out but they will not talk to us and have gotten their lawyer to send us a letter saying his client will be taking no further action on this matter. He has been instructed to close his file on us after sending the letter. Wilgus and Johnson will not admit to any wrong doing over supposedly joining the lots and have refused to remove the foundation. There is so much wrong and has been so stressful that I am under a doctor's care. We were advised to get a lawyer because it's not a real estate problem, it's a problem with the builder.Desired Settlement: We would like to have the $17,988.17 dollars we gave the builder for permits, licenses, site evaluations and the foundation. We would also like the foundation to be removed so we can get the lots on the market as quickly as possible. We were advised by the County that the foundation is illegal and must be removed.
