First of all, I am not affiliated in any way with Cheapy Tire, nor do I know anyone who works thereIn fact, I had never used them previously - something perhaps due to the name Cheapy Tire I had booked an appt to have my winter tires installed with another tire dealer I booked way back in early Oct '15, for a date in the second week in Nov (planning ahead) because I knew there would be a rush by then More importantly I needed a single Continental Extreme truck tire to replace one I had damaged; "no problem" I was told, we will set aside one for you; we have several dozen in stock Come installation time, I called days ahead to confirm my appt and that I needed a single tire, only to find out they hadn't set one aside! They called around and said they couldn't get one I also called around to several dealers and was told the same thing each time: this particular tire, a high end, highly rated tire, was not available due to its popularity and also because it was no longer being made after this yearSince it is a unidirectional tire with a unique tread pattern, I needed to get one with a similar tread pattern or else have to deal with drivability and wear issues Here is where Cheapy Tire stepped up and went above and beyond They too could not get one locally or in the Maritimes, but after a long time searching, tracked one down in Ontario; one of only two tires available at this particular source I told them to grab it and had it installed by them along with the other three and cancelled the other appt with the previous dealer I can't say enough about how much I appreciated Cheapy Tire's efforts ( [redacted] or [redacted] I think his name was) They provided exemplary service and were very pleasant to deal with Oh and another thing They don't take appointments - first come first served This would be a negative for some, who can't get off work to wait in line, probably a couple hours, or make an appointment with another dealer several weeks hence with the possibility of snow in the interim For a retiree like me, I simply went early in the morning and got in very quickly Needless to say, I and definitely happy with the service, I will use them again and highly recommend them
