Review: This law firm sent a letter to an address where I do not live, and the letter said I owed money to the local hospital, a bill of 100.00 dollars. When I called the law firm and asked about these charges. They said they will send me a itemized bill. Then two days later I recived a letter from the firm that I do not owe anything. When I called to figure out what happened, they told me that they just send auto-generated letters without checking if they are real bills. When the law firm called the local hospital the bill was paid off in Aug. 2008. So my first problem is that I do not understand how they can send a letter to a place I have never lived. Second is sending a bill to me about a charge 5 years ago, without checking the current status of the bill. I also had to check my credit report to confirm this issue was not on my report which cost over 100 dollars. I really think this Law firm is unethical in the way it practices. How can a law firm send out a letter stating you owe them money, without prove? This is very wrong and I am very upset about this issue. When I called about this issue and tired to setup a meeting in person at their office, I was denied, with the firm saying "there is nothing we can do now that your case is closed." Very unprofessional and unethical firm. Thank you for your time.Desired Settlement: Refund for my time and efforts spent firguring this issue out. Not only time and efforts spent, I had to request a credit report which cost over 100 dollars. Also a letter would be nice, stating how they mess this issue up. Thank you for your time.
