Review: I had made an appointment for a Monday 6 months in advance. The office called me on Wednesday before my appointment and left a voicemail. This message said, "We do need you to call back and confirm your appointment". They did not say, please call back to confirm. I was on vacation and it was not very convenient to make a phone call at that time. I was pleasantly surprised the message said that I needed to call to confirm, as usually messages say that I need to call if I want to cancel. I never confirmed my appointment, which to me meant it was not a confirmed appointment. When I did not go to my appointment I received a bill for $50. I do not know how I can be charged for an appointment I never confirmed. When I called the office to dispute this, the receptionist was extremely rude. She continued to go in circles with me until I said, "This is ridiculous, we are going in circles, I want to speak to the office manager". At that point, she hung up on me. I have a copy of the voice mail which indicates I needed to CONFIRM, not CANCEL my appointment.Desired Settlement: I do not want to pay the $50 they are requesting.
