William L. Ginder Kitchen & Bathroom Specialists Reviews (3)

To Whom it May Concern at the Revdex.comPlease find enclosed the contract, which the customer signed with us, regarding this issueThis client requested that a new range be installed, the circumstances pertaining to the work described in the letter of complaint we received are highly fabricated in an
attempt to not pay the balance which is owed on the account. We had requested an initial removal of the existing range to allow a complete inspection and assessment of the situationThis was not allowed because this client did not want to pay for a service call visitWithout making this accurate assessment, and in order to assist this client, we compiled her order with a clause of "Should alterations be required to the existing granite countertop, the range will be installed in an operable temporary state, determining the modifications needed to the countertop and additional pricing as this is determined" to which the client agreedUpon installation, it was discovered that the countertops, which were installed by a different company, were not installed correctly and needed modificationsThe range in question was installed and left working, but a drawer access was limited until the countertop modifications were completedOur installers consented to working overtime at the clients request so she would be able to have an operating range.Because the client still would not allow the countertop to be removed, despite that we are a Kitchen remodeling company in business for over years, there was a question which arose as if a drawer would be left in working order, this could not be answered without the full installation of the range which included countertop removalTo satisfy the client, we made an attempt to resolve the drawer as a precautionAfter ordering additional parts, and scheduling with the client for granite alterations, the client was not pleased with this as additional costs were incurring and made several phone calls to our office.Upon the date of the scheduled service repairs, the client then informed us, after placing the order with us, that she found someone else to do this and to send her an invoiceUpon receipt of her final invoice, the client then refused the pay the full amount, and in addition refused to speak with anyone in our office about this.Since this issue was notable to be resolved, in an attempt to settle this matter quickly, we offered to give this client a full refund and she could return her purchase as she was claiming to be overchargedWe have had no communication from this person since notifying this person of their options to resolve this.In addition, the other company which was mentioned in this letter, did notify me of this because of the name which was referenced in their files was correct, their charge for a service call is $250.00, but what was failed to be mentioned, is that the range in question would require additional installers to completely remove it, and then re-install itIf this client was able to find a company to do a countertop modification without removing the newly installed range, than the question is how this could be done since the range has a %" overhang which rested on her countertop.Currently, this client has an outstanding balance with us for $190.00, from the first installation in which they are refusing to make any form of payment for thisWe feel that this person is using dishonest tactics in an attempt to not settle this balance.Unfortunaly, we regret that this person has accused us of bullying, however, offering to make a full return of the purchase in exchange for a full refund, is, in our opinion, a good attempt to satisfy an unhappy client, but this client has opted to keep her purchase and simply not settle her account with usConsidering, myself as the business owner is a senior citizen, as well as one of the installers present we can say that age is not a relevant factor. We strongly feel the letter sent to the Revdex.com is full of fabrications and also attempts to slander business employees, all of which have a legal right to peruse litigations should the letter be made public, as both first and last names have been mentionedIn addition, no parties listed by name from this client are business owners or partnersWe would also like to note that this client also refused to speak with the business Owner, William Ginder, pertaining to this issue as well.William LGinder, Owner

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: for reasons as stated belowVersion*** *** *** *** ***
In response to MrTim G*** of
Ginder Kitchens & Bathrooms, he states that he requested a
removal of the existing range to allow a complete inspection and
assessment of the situationThat is not trueHe gave me a verbal
estimate for installation and cost of the rangeI requested a
written estimate which Stephanie, his office manager, said that they
only do estimates, etcby e-mailI could not receive it by postal
mail
Yes, the proposal does state, “Should
alterations be required to the existing granite countertop, the range
will be installed in an operable temporary state, determining the
modifications needed to the countertop and additional pricing as this
is determined,” BUT the existing granite counter top DID NOT
require alterationsMr Tim G*** continues to state this as a
factIt merely required someone to return and complete the
installation as I requested of Mr G***His solution was for me to
agree upfront to pay him $so that he could send the granite
countertop company that he selected to assess the situationThey
could not come for weeks
Since I felt I needed to take back
control of the situation I called the installers of my countertop
who, in MrGinder's opinion, had not installed correctlyThey came
within one day and immediately adjusted the range with NO
modifications to the granite top to fit flush to the rear edge
As to the extra charge for the initial
installation it was scheduled on a Friday at 3:to 3:PM The
workers work only to 4:PMIf they had come earlier in the day
there would not have been a need for an overtime costMrGinder
scheduled the installationIn the original proposal no mention is
made that there would be need for overtime chargesIt states
“COMPLETE INSTALLATION COSTS, installers $175.00.”
The drawer access was limited by the
bow design of the range handle NOT the need for the granite
countertop to be removedThe extra parts referred to were for the
drawerMrTom G*** very capably corrected the problemHe
showed that he was a Master CraftsmanI am pleased with the
resultsMrTim G*** tried to make the solution more complicated
and expensive by ordering a completely new drawerTom agreed with
me that it was not necessary
I informed Ginder Kitchens &
Bathrooms weeks prior to the scheduled visit by the granite company
of MrGinder's choice for a $assessment of the situation
I called Ginder Kitchens &
Bathrooms several times during this process, MrTim G*** was not
availableI spoke to StephanieShe would state that he was out on
a jobThere never was a refusal on my part to speak to anyoneHe
did return one callIt was recorded on my answering serviceHe
was angryHe offered to come and remove the rangeHe would give
me a full refund
He sent me a letter dated June 28,
which states: “Please be advised that refusal to pay this
project has voided your warranty with us for all labor and materials
Should you pay the remaining balance of $in full, we will be
able to re-instate your year warranty, in additional our appliance
vendor will be notified to report back to GE in regards to your lack
of payment on this sale which may determine future servicing if
needed.”
All my appliances in my kitchen are ** productsI have a very good relationship with themI find it
unrealistic that they would punish me for a conflict I have with Mr
Tim G***
Another untruth is his statement that
I refused to speak to MrWillaim GinderHe installed the range
that was replaced years agoHe was a gentleman and a skilled
craftsman like his son, TomWhen I inquired of him in our early
conversation I was told he was retired and of ill-healthDue to my
experience with him years ago I hired Ginder Kitchens &
Bathrooms to install my recent purchase
I feel that I have legitimate reasons
to contest the added overtime chargesI had to pay someone else to
complete the installation which should have been done by the Ginder
companyHe refused to accept the fact that the granite countertop
was not an issue
Regards,
Maryann G***

Feb 6nd 2015
Dear [redacted],I am writing this in response to a letter which our office received Feb 2nd 2015. In this letter a customer contacted your office regarding a minor repair which he has requested in a project which was completed by our company in august of 2014. Please be...

advised, prior to receiving your letter a phone call was made to tis customer the morning of Feb 2nd 2015 between the hours of 11:30 AM and 12:00 PM to schedule a repair. Approximately one hour after placing the initial phone call to this customer, a return call was received in which a repair was scheduled and performed later that afternoon. Mediation on the part of the Revdex.com was not required. This customer first made our office aware of this situation January 22nd 2015. Thereafter, he called our office January 27th and January 29th in which he spoke with Eric, our receptionist. At no time was any mention made of an emergency situation, plumbing leak or imminent further damage which would give his repair priority over our current work in progress. Furthermore, it usually takes a week (or seven working days) to get non-emergency repairs resolved or at least scheduled. As I am sure you are aware, in the last two weeks we have had inclement weather; as a result, we were operating under normal business hours. In addition, both Mr. William G[redacted], the owner who is over 72 years old, has been doctoring for a two separate injuries which has inhibited his ability at times to function to his full ability. Also, one of our installers, needed to take two weeks of personal time as his Father was moved from hospital care into hospice care in which his Father passed away. Out of respect and the long term friendship time of our installer and his family, needed to take off for the funeral service. Besides the concerns previously mentioned, I, myself have been suffering from contusion of the rib cage which occurred from a serious very serious fall Sunday January 18th. Because of this, I was unable to work on a full time basis during the few days between this customer’s phone calls but personally addressed his concerns the morning of Feb 2nd.Despite the situations listed above, we feel that this customer was treated very fairly in getting his small repair scheduled and performed and also feel that since a less than two weeks or 7 working days have passed since his initial phone call to our office, we have been timely in not only addressing his concerns within industry standards but have handled this situation professionally. It is regrettable that we cannot be able to provide instantaneous service for each customer which calls our office but we strive to be a timely as humanly possible. We greatly feel that the involvement of the Revdex.com was unnecessary and now as a result have concerns of an unfair drop in our ratings. We respectfully request that this incident does not reflect on our rating as our business was in no way in breach of the contract with this customer and strongly feel that his communication with the Revdex.com was unwarranted and out of impatience and anger.I request communication from the Revdex.com as soon as possible regarding this as we do not want our good rating to be damaged over a frivolous inquiry with the Revdex.com meant damage our reputation. If the need arises, we are prepared to have our attorney investigate this matter.
Sincerely,Timothy G
