William Oliver's Publick House Reviews (2)

Problem:I ate lunch at this establishment on 9-24-2017.I ordered a sandwich which was served with a cup of guacamole. While eating the guacamole, I noticed that upon eating some of it there was what appeared to be a sharp object.I did not think much about it but did not eat anymore of the guacamole. Around 2.5 hours later I began to feel ill and weak and had a salty taste in my mouth. I starting spitting out blood, went to a bathroom and noticed a cut along the side of my tongue.Being the RN I am, the only thing I could do was to stop the bleeding with a cold compress which took about 2 hours to finally stop the bleeding. I was able to reach the owner, Mr. Ryan W[redacted] who discounted the situation and despite further calls to discuss the situation; he contacted the local police department, I don't know how he had access to my private number and was told by the police that I was not allowed back in William Oliver's.I was disrespected, had a foreign and sharp object in my food and the whole situation was discounted by the owner!Desired Outcome:Refund of meal and an apology by the owner, Ryan W[redacted]

William Oliver's has made every attempt at resolving this issue with the customer. The original complaint came on 24 September at 7:15pm. He spoke with the bartender working, who collected the information and passed it along to the General Manager. The GM left a voicemail on the number provided. At...

7:49pm on the same date, the GM called me stating the customer wanted to talk with the owner and was threatening to get a lawyer if the GM did not make it "worth his while". I attempted to contact the customer several times between 25-27 September, leaving voicemails and texts. We finally connected via phone at 9:19am on 27 September. During this call the customer informed me of the entire visit and grew irritated when I asked simple questions (such as where he was sitting and if he informed the server of the issue). He said "I am a customer. Customer in this country are 99.9% correct" and the told me to "resolve the issue" and hung up abruptly. Reviewing the call logs on 28 September I noticed that the customer called the pub at 9:33am (before we are open). I left him a message at 11:01am and reminded him that per our previous conversations and message that he was not to call the pub anymore because the staff was unable to assist him. Roughly a dozen phone calls took place between 28 September and 30 October that in ended the same manner; with the customer simply demanding I "make it right", threatening to get a lawyer (or stated a lawyer had already been consulted), and not letting me even ask single question or complete a complete sentence, before abruptly hanging up. On 29 October the customer came to the pub and began harassing other guests. On 30 October a formal complaint was made to the Fort Collins police department complaining of harassment and case report was opened. The police made successful contact with the customer and informed him that no contact was to be made by him to the pub, staff, managers, and owners. The owners and managers of William Oliver's have made every attempt to listen, understand, and resolve the issue with this customer. However, over the course of the past couple months the account of events, the timelines, and the threats have varied and intensified. William Oliver's maintains no wrongdoing and does not accept the account given by the customer.
