I've had a number of vision insurance plans in the past through various employers and Superior has been the best The plan paid for some things that weren't covered with other companies and I can use the plan pretty much at every vision retail location in North Carolina

I haven't received anything on a claim submitted over a month ago in fact I have called customer service several times and seem to get the run around No one from their office has bothered to contact me in order to settle this dispute this in my opinion is something of a trend after reading the other complaints I am not alonethen the agent tells me that I will only get paid for out of network coverage when in fact the services were covered they accepted my plan No where does it state this on the online claim process

I submitted a claim for reimbursement for two of my daughters for their exam and glasses for an out of network provider on August 25, for a date of service of January 19, After a few weeks I called to check on the status of the claims and they told me the claims were approved and waiting for the check to be produced and mailed I have continued to call every few weeks for over three months now and continue to get the same response I have talked with the manager and she tells me this is her top priority, however, it shouldn't take over four months to process a claim and cut a check for the service

On June 1st I called to check on two claims I have made with Superior Vision A customer service representative by the name of *** answered the phone and tried to give me answers to my two claims She did not know what she was doing and was not familiar with the process She asked me a lot of questions and was still confused about my two claims She then put me on hold to ask her supervisor at least to times which took at least minutes to get back with me each time She then informed me that the claims were too old and they could not honor them I asked for something in writing where it says there's a time limit on all claims According to Superior vision it's not in writing everyone just knows I asked to speak to a supervisor and she put me on hold again and eventually hung up I called back and spoke to a gentleman and he was lost about the whole situation and then put me on hold and never got back to me I would like to resolve this matter since I do pay my in

Before we decided to go with our own preferred optometrist (out of network with Superior Vision Services, Inc.), I contacted Superior Vision to find out what kind of out-of-network reimbursement we might me entitled to before we made our final decision While Superior Vision could not guarantee ANY reimbursement before receiving the reimbursement request, they disclosed that it would be $upon approval We discussed this and decided to go to the out-of-network provider, since we would receive the $reimbursement assuming our claim submission was approved What they customer service rep never disclosed was the fact that there would be a $copay required regardless of whether the optometrist was in-network or not They never mentioned ANY other fees Just that we would have to pay out of pocket for the exam and then be reimbursed
I received a reimbursement for $two days ago The original charge was $paid by us at the time of the exam The "Allowed" amount was $
