Dear [redacted]: 8BBI am responding to complaint letter id # [redacted]. This letter came as a complete surprise. The customer never contacted our business of any problems or issues with his purchase. Let me start by stating some facts. The customer ordered this gun on 7-1-2016 which we took...

a deposit of $200.00. I placed his order with an Authorized Smith & Wesson Distributor. The authorized distributor does not sell used Smith and Wesson firearms. I had this Factory Brand New S&W 686 plus; SKU # [redacted] shipped to our store and received on 7-8-2016. Upon receiving the gun on 7-8-2016 it was stored in a safe until the customer picked it up on 7-10-2016. The customer was contacted that his gun had been received and that he could pick it up at our store. _ln addition, the customer inspected the firearm on 7-10-2016 when he picked it up along with completing the required paperwork in accordance with state and federal law. The gun was registered to the customer on 7-10-2016 after passing the required background check. The customer never stated any problems or concerns on 7-10-2016 and also ask me to find a specific defense ammunition for this very firearm.Furthermore, since this firearm is factory brand new it does have a factory new warranty. The customer can contact Smith & Wesson directly if the gun does not meet up to his expectations, I do not know how the customer has come to the conclusion that the gun is not factory brand new. There are no details listed in the letter on why he feels that the gun is used. I suspect that he feels that the gun has been fired. All factory new guns are test fired at the factory by Smith & Wesson and this fact can be verified by the manufacturer. This simple fact I would have explained to the customer if he had the decency to contact us first before filing a complaint. Once again the gun was ordered for the customer and it was 100% factory brand new, I will be happy to supply any needed additional information in this matter.Sincerely,Powell Guns
