Greetings from the Poughkeepsie Inn, I write in reference to the complaint assigned ID# [redacted] for [redacted] had reserved two rooms with us on the *** of May She paid for one room with her master card and the other room she paid with cashShe booked two rooms for three nightsOn the *** [redacted] approached the front desk stating that she wants a refund because she had change of plans and she never stayed in the room for a complete night despite she was in there for some time just not for the overnightI explained to [redacted] that we have a none refundable policy which was aware of and signed off on, however I explained to her that because I had already made my daily deposit I would not have been able to refund her any cash and was willing to refund her two nights out of the three to her master card, which we immediately didOn the attachment you will see a refund of $which is the equivalency of two nights stay at the Poughkeepsie InnWe are in no way running a scam as [redacted] has indicated we simply rented two rooms that we could have sold someone else but because we had reserved it for [redacted] there is no way we would have accepted a full lost being that we weren’t able to rent out these rooms to another potential guest [redacted] expects us to give her a full refund for all nights when the nature of this business does not permits us to take such a lostI hope we have clarified all the discrepancies [redacted] has indicated Respectfully, Robert V [redacted] General Manager Poughkeepsie Inn [redacted]

rooms for three nights. On the [redacted] [redacted] approached the front desk stating that she wants a refund because she had change of plans and she never stayed in the room for a complete night despite she was in there for some time just not for the overnight. On the attachment you will see a refund of $224.14 which is the equivalency of  two nights stay at the Poughkeepsie Inn. We are in no way running a scam as [redacted] has indicated we simply rented two rooms that we could have sold someone else but because we had reserved it for [redacted] there is no way we would have accepted a full lost being that we weren’t able to rent out these rooms to another potential guest.  [redacted] expects us to give her a full refund for all nights when the nature of this business does not permits us to take such a lost. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.  They called me today to follow-up on my complaint and stated they did not realize the extent of my issue.  They apologized and told me a refund was on it's way.
