Williamson-Thermo flo Reviews (%countItem)

My cast ironboiler was installed approximately 5/6years ago. It was leaking from one of the inside, and upon inspection from my plumber, it shows that the cast iron has cracked. Which is a manufacturing defect. Williamson Thermoflo said that they will send me the block. Which means that the whole boiler has to be taken apart , then put back together again. To quote my long serving and faithful plumber , “ it’s opening a can of worms and asking for trouble”. . It is also quite a bit of work, and will cost quite a bit of money. I have been quoted over $2000 to complete said work. Having paid $10,000 5/6 years ago to purchase this boiler in good faith that the company has sound manufacturing practises ,I now have to pay out of pocket, quite a large sum of money for labour and parts , on top of getting a part of the boiler. Not the whole boiler.

Thank you for contacting us with your concerns. This letter is in response to the customer complaint filed by *** The Williamson-Thermoflo warranty for the boiler in question states the (ollowing:Second through Tenth Year Limited Warranty for Cast Iron Sections:The Manufacturer warrants that the cast iron sections of its water and steam boilers are free from defects in material and workmanship from the date of installation for the second through the tenth year. If during such time period, any section is found to be defective, the boiler manufacturer will provide replacement for the original cast iron sections(s).The warranty does not cover:3. Any costs for labor for removal and reinstallation of the alleged defective part, transportation to the boiler manufacturer, if necessary, and any other materials necessary to perform the exchange. On February 12, 2019, Tom Jensen with Triple A Plumbing and Heating called in a warranty claim for Ms. W aidalowski. The boiler in question, CP6501142 was shipped out in November of 2011. Per Mr. Jensen it was installed on August 7'°, 2012. The pictures provided at the time of the claim were inconclusive in terms of proving a defect in materials and workmanship, therefore, rather than go through a lengthy investigation, Williamson-Thermoflo opted to approve the replacement heat exchanger on WRGA-2019-02633. Please note that by approving the complete replacement heat exchanger Williamson-Thermoflo went above and beyond the limited warranty which indicates to cover cast iron sections. Finally, in accordance with our warranty terms, Williamson-Thermoflo is not responsible for covering labor costs associated with the replacement of a heat exchanger under warranty.I am enclosing a copy of the limited warranty for your review as well as a copy of the approved claim per our limited warranty statement. Please let me know if there are any further questions.Sincerely,*** ManagerEnclosed: Limited Warranty Statement; Approved Copy of WRGA

Purchased a CHB - Centennial High Boy from the local dealer in 2016. Two years later in 2018, the blower has failed multiple times. First replacement part failed within a week. The second replacement part is out of stock and there is no timeline for delivery. All this in the middle of the summer heatwave. Williamson will not pull a blower from a new furnace nor will they let us know when any replacement blow will be available. This is the 3rd summer week without air conditioning.

Williamson makes furnaces that fail within two years, and they don't stock parts for replacement so being able to repair them is extremely uncertain. This company does not seem to care about their products or consumers at all.

With regard to subject claim, I am without specific details to be able to look for any history on the matter. The Information sheet does not include the model number or the serial number of the furnace, that is essential in identifying which motor is in question. It would seem quite unusual that we would not have the motors in stock, however, depending on the manufacturer of the motor itself, it’s not impossible that there could have been a supply chain issue. Please provide me the model and serial number of the furnace and that will enable me to identify what is used in that appliance. Additionally, the contractors information and what brand partner (Distributor) they are ordering their Williamson Product from, it could be as simple as the distributor never placing an order on us for the item in question. Williamson only supplies product through qualified HVAC distributors, we do not supply contractor direct or consumer direct. Thank you,

***
