complaint [redacted]I run a small auto repair business out of my residence. The paper bills are 2 part carbon copies which have my old mailing address and old phone number on them I have a whole bunch of them I still use them because it cost way too much to order new ones my customers know that. I've also worked on this client's car along with her family members vehicles for many years now. I am also a licensed emission and inspection mechanic. What happen with this customer this this is as follows and ill attach a copy of the recent work order tooShe called me a few weeks back about 2 weeks after him incident I believe saying that the car had stalled in the middle of the street and was leaking antifreeze. I explained to her I just had surgery on April 12 that as soon as I could I would come down look at car and fix it under warranty. Then the customer proceeded to tell me that a passerby had hooked a chain up to the vehicle to try to tow her and it started leaking antifreeze on the road. then explained to her that if the person who towed the car broke the radiator then that's no a warranty job that she would have to pay for that cause it's not a manufacture or labor defect. She exploded and started yelling and screaming at me and said she would have her son call me about it. he is another one of my customers so I waited for him to call me he did I explained the situation to him and he told me he knew and understood so he told me to look at it and determine if it was a defect or ripped up by the chain. I then went and look at the car upon further inspection you could see the they had chained it in the wrong place. They had put the chain on the lower frame section that holds the radiator in place and had ripped it forward and up resulting in the radiator being busted I gave the customer son a quote to replace it along with having it inspected the bill is attached to this email. he told me to fix it I also explained that once we get the radiator out there may be some more unforeseen repairs needed which there were when I finally got the radiator out the frame was managed real bad I then explained it would have to be fixed in order for the radiator to sit properly the customer not her son had a fit started screaming and yelling and order me to put the dam radiator in the car so I explained if I do that you understand there is no warranty on anything because the frame is bent she said to do whatever I could do to get the car running so she could sell it I did I also wrote a statement on the copy of the bill for her explains the same thing that there is no warranty what so ever cause of the damage caused by towing the vehicle was not fixed the proper way, now I have done over I believe about two thousand dollars' worth of work on her car over the years you can still see all the new parts and never had a problem with this customer at all now that she had to pay for something that someone else did is not my fault. She just wanted the work done for free and tried to get me to do the work for free knowing that someone else damaged it.PS it also failed emissions to she has the failure paper work for that also
