When the consumer came into the store with
her complaint I offered a refund she informed me that Clairol had already
offered her a refund She then ask to see the invoice showing when it was
purchaseInitially I refused as it was not our practice to show our consumer

to leave and said she would be willing to stay all night until I showed her my invoice which I didAfter
seeing the invoice she ask if I would call Proctor and Gamble so they could
tell me the product was out of date, to which I let her know that her word was
good enough for meI continued to ask her what she would like me to do, a
stylist from the salon next door offer her some suggestions to which I gave her
the products the stylist suggestedDuring this entire encounter I asked her what I
could do for her it with no response from herAfter a back and forth where I continued to aSk was at this time she requested we purchase a wig for her to
cover the color until it washes outThe instruction on the box clearly state
that you should test it on your hair and scalp before putting it all over your
head even if you have used it in the pastThis skin test should be done forty
eight hours prior to useAfter consulting with the manufacturer and the license stylist the problems she encounter were not due the product being out dated

I am rejecting this response because: the hair dyed turned my hair orange yes the product he gave me busted all over my clothes I believe the bottle was old which must of his products are there needs to be an.inspection in his store it is not up to date he gave me the run around on which company he got it from he said he pitch at the product from a 3rd party I was like ok may I got the information so I can take my situation that 3rd party and I would no longer have to deal with him he said he has nothing to do with what had happen to me that I have to take up with Clairol which I did they told they distribute the product in 2011 and it had a shelf life of 3 years which that was in 2014 Sherman W. brought the product June 24 of 2013 so the dye is no longer good yes I do agree that I did refuse to leave the store because he refuse to handle my situation in a orderly fashion he did not offer me a refund at all It was Clairol that did after I told them the symptoms that I experienced from the expired products that left my hair dry breaking off and orange which it is also still itching with scraps in my head I don't like my hair and what it did to me I cried and was very upset as a.women you want to look nice and feel good and that's the business that he is in he wasn't performing.duties in his profession

I understand how she feels appearance is very important to all of us and we all like to show our best selves, I am sorry for any discomfort she may be having.We have been in business since 1967 and take pride in our customer service. I did offer her a refund that was when she told me that Clairol was taking care of that, so ask her what she would like me  to do. I have attached a copy of the instructions for the product she purchased which clearly state that even if you have used the product before a skin test should be done  forty-eight hours prior to use, as well as a strand test to check the color. It is important to follow manufacturer instructions.  I gave her $21.50 worth of products and I will gladly give her a refund for her original purchase,however I will need a copy of the receipt for our records. After talking to the manufacturer as well a professional stylist this reaction is very rare. When I asked the manufacturer "What are the possible consequences of using out dated color IE textures and tones? the response was "It may not lift or deposit as it should.  Blondes may not lift like they should, Browns may not deposit and be as rich as they should.
