Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. Please see attached document. (Revdex.com_Dockside Marine 1-28-17)1) Issue was not resolved by Dockside Marine, but by me putting new gasoline in boat2) Statement of PS112 lb. Dockside admitted gauges were malfunctioning. Where is the proof (computer report) of the fuel pressure results other than him just throwing a number out?3) Boat brought back in on 7 /6 with same exact problem as when the boat was originally brought In on 6/17. It's apparent replacing the fuel pump did not repair the problem. Therefore I should be reimbursed for those charges ($[redacted] - parts & labor).4) Winter Blend Fuel -this was discussed up front when boat was brought in on 6/17. At that time there was no discussion of vapor locking.5) Dockside was supposed to do a test on the fuel to see if the fuel was bad. Where is that report? Obviously they did not do that test- or it would have shown bad fuel.6) Dockside on 7 /8 diagnosed the problem as Vapor Locking-not a bad fuel pump! They gave me all kind of remedies to fix the Vapor Locking -which none worked because it was bad fuel. Also, the days I tested the boat and the day they tested the boat the temperature never reached over 92 degrees according to the national Weather Service I Dockside reported 100 degrees - incorrect.7) Dockside - river test boat- (Chris's exact words to me) they river tested the boat and could not duplicate the problem, when they got back to the shop they Dyno tested and the boat duplicated the problem.8) Dockside Marine (Chris) instructed me via a phone call on 7 /25 to take the boat somewhere else to be fixed since he had exhausted all ideas to fix the boat himself. He never offered to pay for someone else to repair the boat.9) I have witnesses that were on the boat when it malfunctioned prior to taking it Dockside and the same witnesses that were present when the boat broke down the same exact way after Dockside replaced the fuel pump.10) Dockside has admitted in their response to the Revdex.com that it was a fuel problem (winter fuel blend) and a Vapor Locking problem. How much more proof do you need that Dockside Marine misdiagnosed the problem with installing a fuel pump.11) I expect to be reimbursed for the $[redacted] for the charges (labor and parts) to Install a fuel pump as obviously it did not fix the problem. I fixed the problem by putting new fuel in the boat.

This issue has been resolved with the customer. The boat came in to us with fuel psi below 12 lbs, 36 lbs min fuel psi required. Fuel pump was repaired per [redacted] service bulletin #2004-05 Spoke with Mr. [redacted] at great length as to the repair cost. On 6-17-16  Mr. [redacted] authorized...

repairs, and requested additional repairs while the engine was out of the boat. repairs completed on 6-30-16. On 7-6-16 Mr. [redacted] brought boat back to shop stating he ran boat 20 min. or so, and stopped for an hour or more, less than 2hrs.  Boat started then ran a few seconds the cut off and would not restart, indicating a vapor lock issue. We were unable to duplicate the issue at the shop on a [redacted], we got permission from the customer too river test ( at no charge ) to try to correct the issue. On the day Mr [redacted] had the problem the temo. was 100 degrees plus, it was 96 degrees the day we tested the boat and had no issues.Per [redacted] service bulletin #99-7,  we performed most of the checks in this S.B. at which point the customer decided to do the rest himself. At this point Mr. [redacted] stated that the boat does have winter blend fuel, this is the main cause of vapor lock per [redacted]. The customer continued to operate the boat on this fuel until he ran it down enough to put summer blend fuel in the boat and fixing his issue. All repairs were done per [redacted] specs. and guide lines If you need copy's of the service bulletins please provide me with a Fax # and I will promptly send them to you. Thanks  Chris J[redacted] V-P Dockside Marine
