period of time before we get it, so I apologize for the delay in responding.We are pleased that you are interested in the Blizzard Black Pearl skis and would like to help you and will do what we can to come to an agreement.Without seeing the image you have of the tag I can’t provide an answer to the nature of the original mistake. Because we often discount prices for short periods of time, in this case for a clearance sale, we use soft, removable price signs that could potentially be erroneously moved from ski to ski, which is why we put in place several stop-gap measures to make sure our customers are receiving the best, and accurate prices. Our staff is run through rigorous training, especially during sale times and our cashiers are trained to catch potential mistakes. The full retail price of the Black Pearl was $720 without the binding. Our clearance sale price for the skis only (without bindings) was $469.95, the price you were quoted. We were selling the package, the Black Pearl ski with Tyrolia RX12, originally for $719.95… which is how the ski rings up at the cash register before the discount is taken – with the clearance discount it would have come to $599.95.As small business owners, we do our best to be on-site and available as much as possible. Our customer service is a cornerstone of our operation. I apologize that you viewed our involvement in this matter as ‘hostile’ but I’m sure you can agree that it is not unreasonable to attempt to clarify a mistake. While honoring the erroneous price will result in a loss, we are prepared to provide you with the Black Pearl package with the Tyrolia RX12 at the ski only price… without knowing what binding you were interested in upgrading to, I can not accurately quote you a price with a binding upgrade as they vary depending on make and model. We would be happy to discuss binding upgrade options with you and offer you one at the appropriate price difference.If you would like to follow up on this further, you may contact our General Manager, Bill L[redacted], at your convenience.
