this email is in response to the complaint filed against my business by [redacted] There is so much to say that I am not even sure where to start, So first let me say that YES she was told that I had to relocate to Indiana due to my husband's work, she was also told several times that I would be making the hour trip from Indiana back to North Carolina for her weddingI have facebook messages to prove thisI arrived on time to prep for her wedding When I arrived in North Carolina I had not been notified that they were in the middle of a hurricane! The bride (complaining customer) didn't even grant me the heads up about the weather even though she knew I was travelling to herYes I did text her the night before her wedding because we had severe flooding, a power outage and it was not safe to be where we wereI had absolutely no choice in being able to finish her cakeI would also like to point out that the customer had previously signed a terms and condition contract saying that there are no refunds when things out of my control come up including cancellations by the customer or severe weatherMy practices are not "shady" and she was certainly not "duped"I have NEVER I mean never had a single complaint from a customer before and I have plenty of references to back that up, along with texts and messages to back up the things I have listed in this responseI hate that it came to this but it was out of my control , my client is not the only one who suffered from this, I am out the cost of the trip , hundreds in supplies , and the time I had already put into itSo again my sincere apologies but this was out of my control and I understand that in life and in owning a business you are bound to hit a bump at some point, this was or first one and hopefully last

[redacted] She is a liar she never told me anything of her husband getting a new job and moving to Indiana if I wanted a out of state vendor I would have chosen the cake boss not her she was living in NC and I know nothing of any text messages of her moving to Indiana she told me and my husband that she was moving in the complex next to her husband. I have all the ones from her and Facebook messages from when we started I never was told that she was getting a pop up shop or what ever she rented she had a state of the art kitchen me and my husband went to her house and for her to act or say anything different was false she took 2,181.73 dollars of my hard earned money to think she doesn't have the right to pay me back because of weather is shady you had a contract with me I still had my wedding regarding of the storm she says that I was supposed to alert her of the wedding why would I when you supposed to live in NC everyone here knew it was a storm my family traveled from NY and SC everyone knew it was a storm here. that still does not excuse the fact that you didn't deliver my wedding cake nor my sweets table no one told you to rent those things you never gave me the option but yet you didn't make it to my wedding but called me the day of my rehearsal acting as if you were going to deliver everything and how you had a argument with my bridal planner about some cake pops you didn't even have. then the morning of my wedding you text me at 3 am to tell me I wont have a cake and when I tell you the venue has a kitchen you tell me you cant do anything about this now you tell me who is in the wrong you didn't live up to your deal and was paid well you messed up my wedding I dont want to hear about the money you are out of if dont get my money back I will take legal action against you.
