I am rejecting the response from Willits Nursery because Dave is a blatant liar and I refuse to waste my precious time with a liar or a SCAM ARTIST I would like to close this complaint because he showed his true colors Thank you!

The customer requested that we bring in top soil to raise the level of three small plant beds to be even with the adjacent sidewalk. We brought in pulverized screened top soil and raised the beds. full of ROCKS. This would be impossible since the soil had been pulverized and run through a screen to eliminate foreign objects such as sticks, rocks, and clods. Top soil is excavated from ground that may contain any of these objects.Upon close inspection of the soil after she complained, we did discover small pebbles in the soil that were small enough to pass through the screen as were the soil particles. This is acceptable in the "world" of top soil. The soil is still workable and productive and ful-fill the purpose of the soil.The customer was unhappy. We removed this soil, without delay, and replaced it with a special blend of soil referred to as "growers blend". This is soil pulverized several times through a screen with the addition of organic compost and sand creating a fine soil that is specifically blended for growing plants. The original objective of the job was to only raise the bed level.After doing this, the customer closely inspected our work and  was completely satisfied with the result, as she so stated. When I presented the customer with a bill for $475.00 at her front door, she handed me a check already made out for $300.00. I told her this was not the correct amount. She told me it was all the job was worth and to take it or leave it.The first product was correct, the second product was way above board, the service was quick, and the work was professional. Her complaint was about the product and the service.
