We maintain unfair business practice was provided by the travel agency based on the following:The agency had moved and we were not notifiedAfter a prolonged search, the agency was finally locatedThe person answering the phone (MrsA***?) was informed of the need to cancel and we were
advised to mail a letter of cancellation to the new addressThe day of this conversation, a fax was sent to the agency at its new addressPer its documentation, the fax was receivedThough the letter was unavoidably delayed, the call and fax were made within the specified time frameAs the trip was cancelled within the specified time frame, there was no need for the agency to retain the travel insurance funds and not to return themThe agency held onto the funds - without interest - for several months before providing them to the insurance companyWhen we had called the insurance company, they did not have any record of the tripThis went on for months - until the trip (for which we had hoped to go on) had already commenced. An insurance refund was issued, but not without penaltyWe believe that the travel company should have refunded us the insurance money when the trip was cancelledMultiple calls and emails to the MrA*** over months went unanswered. Eventually, MrsA*** agreed to send us a partial refund - again without interestWe maintain that a greater refund should have been granted, with perhaps a minor handling fee to the travel agency invoked.Please let us know if further documentation is needed.Thank you Revdex.com:
