Got no news on security deposit and its process after moving out.
I had moved out my apartment on 12/29/2019 after living there for two years. I was expecting to get my security deposit back. The apartment complex had focus on other clients and don't know the refund process is going. I waited for about two months (now 2/26/2020) and no updates on my deposit. The apartment complex had change their names multiple times (originally called *** when I moved in), but the complex told me the agreement will be the same. I had not have the best experience from having dirty apartment moving in, lack of communications and poor upkeep. I left my apartment in better condition than what they gave. I asked about three to four times about the deposit, each time was "i wish I could help or cut the check to you, but I can't."

Desired Outcome

I want my security deposit and any processing update as soon as possible, hopefully receive the deposit check before mid-March 2020. The deposit should came by 1/29/2020. If I do not get any thing from them, I want to help taking them to small court case with the max penalty.

I moved out my apartment on October 15th 2019 and was suppose to get my deposit back 30days after move out. I also had my apartment checked and signed that everything was good to go. It is now feb 2020 and I'm just now getting my refund back but only half due to the owner now saying I left my apartment damaged and trash was left. This is not correct I emailed them several times even stating I would get a lawyer or Revdex.com that's when they would email me back or call begging me not to do that. I never left trash or damaged anything. She also stated when I called that there were more people in the same boat as me. She also called/emailed on several occations saying my check was available for pick up. Upon arrival my check as not there and manager was not available.

Refund To get my whole deposit back and maybe help others get their money as well.

The office staff are very rude they don't care about the complaints told to them. The trash is left outside for days without being picked up but I'm being charged a trash fee the gym and other facilities are locked up and closed but I'm being charged an amenities/ facility fee. Maintenance takes days to get in contact with you over "emergency" situations. There are huge bugs that sit outside and make their way into the apartments because of how filthy it is outside. I am glad to say my lease is up soon and it has been a mistake moving here in the first place I'm very disgusted and upset with the customer service and apartment.

I have had continuous flooding into my apartment during rainy weather that I have reported to management and is still pending repair.
Prior to the most recent flood I have called the office for maintenance requests for water entering the apartment after rain. But the office staff failed to enter maintenance requests. The most recent flood was in september that left my carpet soaked for about a week. This time I filed my issue via the hawthorne portal on 9/20/2018. No one ever came so a few days later I spoke with *** and she had someone from maintenance meet me at my apartment to over look the issue. His name was *** I believe and he took pictures of the damage and said that he would send someone the next day to remedy the issue. No one ever came. On 10/31/18 I came home after work to trash which included food and bottles on my living room floor as well as my curtains and blinds being open. I almost called the police because it was obvious someone had entered my home. I called management the next day, 11/01/18, and asked did someone enter my home the day before. I spoke with *** who told me they had entered my home to fix the patio and a cleaning company came to clean to carpet. I informed her that no one left a note (*** was surprised and stated that they should have), my curtain and blinds were left open, the carpet was dirty, and that they had left filth and trash in my living room. I asked her to file an official complaint, to make it so no one can enter my apartment without my verbal consent, and to please have someone remedy the issue. No one ever came to fix the problem or to follow up. I received an email survey from the apartment a few days ago (which is normal after services have been completed). It wanted me to review the service that was completed on 10/31/18. As a result I went on to remind them of the issue and that it was unresolved. Today 11/12/18 ***., the office manager, contacted me in reference to my negative survey. Again she asked me the exact questions that I already have answered several times. Then I asked her for proof and paperwork surrounding what was done on 10/31/18 and if she could provide that intel to me by tomorrow. She stated that I need to pay my rent and that "it does not work like that" in reference to my request to have the details by tomorrow. So when I asked her for an estimated turn around time she said "I will do my best, and I cant say". I then left work and dropped off the check I promised for rent and spoke with her personally and she stated that she cannot provide me anything because she isn't sure anything was done. And after research she will let me know via email. I then told her that when I spoke with *** she was reading the details of the case to me via phone, and that *** may be able to pull up the case and print it for me. She just said yes *** is here, and that she can see everything *** sees but she will not give me any info regarding the work that was or was not done on 10/31/18.

Desired Outcome

I need a detailed report regarding the supposed patio repair and details from the cleaning company on what they actually cleaned. Furthermore The entire carpet must be cleaned. The mold under the carpet, around patio door, and walls surrounding the interior part of the patio door needs to be removed.

Hawthorne North Ridge apologizes for any miscommunication that has occurred in this situation. On 10/31/2018 the contractor used for carpet cleaning was asked to visit apartment home *** as there was a work order open for this apartment home to clean the carpet from a previous leak. The carpet cleaning company completed spot treatments and opened the blinds in the unit to allow light to come through to better identify the areas of need. Ms. reached out to the Hawthorne North Ridge leasing office on Monday 11/12/2018 and due to not having the details of the treatments done to her apartment, none could be provided. We have since spoken with our carpet cleaning contractor and confirmed the details of the previously mentioned spot treatment. On 11/13/2018 the carpets were fully cleaned by the same contractor. The resident services team also addressed concerns with the dishwasher.

I have cameras in my apartment and no work was done on the patio or walls surrounding the area. When it rains the apartment floor always gets wet or floods. As a result current mold around the patio door, wall and underneath the carpet by the patio, and future water is still expected. Until the issue is fixed my complaint still stands. The cleaning company shampooed the carpet and that is it.
