For over 4 months, Willowpark Senior Living (a.k.a. Blue Harbor Senior Living) has improperly billed ***'s account for health related services that should have been properly processed through both her Medicare and secondary insurance. When brought to the attention of the billing officer, excuses were made and assurances that credits would be issues and improper billing practices would be rectified. However this was not the case and I'm on my 3rd month of communication to resolve an issue that occurred back in June 2020, and now having to deal with undocumented back-dated charges that are being re-billed to the resident when everything had to be set-up for automatic EFT withdrawals when the resident moved in over 2 years ago. NOTE: It was discovered back in 2018 that ***'s account had been overcharged for services rendered and was adjusted after the Semi-Annual Services meeting was held with the resident and family members.
I am the new General Manager here at Willow Park. My first "official" day was October 5, 2020. I was able to look into the complaint and speak with our Business Office Director. It appears that everything has been taken care of regarding the complaint. We did receive in email from the family on October 9th. They said the communication through this process hasn't been good but things have been handled. They told us there no need to reply to her email. Hopefully, going forward, we can work on better communication. Thank you!
