Living at Willowbrook West apartments has been nothing but bad news. I rarely go to the office; however, when they changed property managers, they did not change their website which residents including myself used to pay rent. I paid my rent on 12/4/14 and the prior company received the payment. I showed Willowbrook staff proof of this payment per their request. They stated they would be handling the situation and working with other residents who have had similar issues. Every month, I checked my balance online nd it went up higher and higher and nothing was done. I would email staff asking "why hasn't anything been done about this yet?" and they responded "someones taking care of it, you'll have to pay by check (due to my balance of around 2,000 because they did not stop the late charges being added. Now it is June of 2015. I was actually going to resign my lease here but when I began filling out the paperwork I was expected to pay $1708. It was not my fault that they did not fix their payment method nor tell residents... I made rent every single month. Now, Willowbrook simply stated "theres nothing we can do about it." I explained to them that I moved here from Illinois to work as a therapist and don't know many people and have a really tight schedule and this has caused much stress. They showed no remorse and stated "your lease ends on July 17th. (The week prior a different staff member told me my lease was up on August 1st). I contacted the company where my rent was paid and they have no record and advised that I contact willow brook about the rental payment that is "missing." Thanks Willobrook :)
