Per the attached workorder (dated 5/14/14), the requested services were written up as "Noisy front differential (louder In
4wd); Tune- up; Oil Change; and Check Boots"This workorder was reviewed and signed
by the customer at the timeThe customer SIGNED this work order as It Is written, Including having initialed it by tile statement identified as line Item #declaring "Please proceed with repairs, but call me before
continuing If the price will exceed" where he provided a notification amount there of $
Our technician proceeded per the signed workorder diagnosing the "Noisy front differential"determining the cause as a failed drive shaft (Right Front) performed Tutasks (tire Inflations, checked brakes,
adjusted Idle speed, lights, spark plug, air filter, and checked differential oil levels) and did the Oil Change shown requested alsoUpon checking the eight CV boots, noticed the Left Rear one was torn and replaced It.
As Parts and Labor to this point approached $500, the customer was contacted (threshhold set by customer on work order as Initialed)He was then advised replacement of the front right drive shaft would cost approximately
$415, for a total Parts and labor billing of approximately $if to proceedThe customer approved proceeding forward to complete repair
Following the completed repairs and services as outlined on the Repair Order, costs approved prior per the customer the customer then voiced significant frustration that the bill had become what It hadNeither we nor the
customer sets costs as to what a repair "should have been", costs are instead determined by what is actually required of Parts and laborWe do our best working within details and boundaries specified on the work order, keeping
the customer advised as to what is needed beyond and outside those written specificationsFor the verbal misunderstanding Mr*** believes took place between he and *** regarding prioritization of services, we had already
extended discounts totaling $to his bill ($discount to the drive shaft, $Shop Fee waiver, and applicable tax)
