Wilson Auto Reviews (%countItem)

I bought a 2003 Toyota 4-Runner from W Auto on April 15th of this year. After performing a simple visual inspection I felt that the car looked to be in excellent condition (as advertised.). Two months later, on June 11th, I took my 4-Runner to a local mechanic to have a safety inspection done before going on a road trip. The mechanic called me shortly after I dropped it off to inform me that the frame of my car was severely rusted and the structural integrity/safety of the vehicle was compromised, and that someone had very recently tried to cover up the corrosion damage using spray foam and black paint. I was advised to take the car straight home and park it because it was not safe to be driving on the road.
The next day I went back to the dealer to try to work something out and was met with extreme rudeness and insults from the owner, Mike W, to myself and my mother, who accompanied me to speak with the dealer. After nothing could be worked out that first meeting I contacted an old law professor of mine for guidance. After telling him of my situation and the circumstances surrounding the purchase of the vehicle he believes that because the dealer advertised the car as "excellent condition" and it was clearly not in said condition, that the vehicle had been falsely represented in the advertisements made by W Auto and that I should pursue remedy for the damages incurred. (the dealer admitted to my mother and I during the first attempt that he does not perform any inspections on the cars he purchases for re-sale because he "cannot afford to")
I have contacted W Auto a second time via certified letter and received only a brief response saying that I needed to contact the auction house that the vehicle was purchased from to work something out, which I believe is ridiculous and why I am now officially filing a complaint.

I bought a 98 Subaru last December from a dealer which IMMEDIATELY began having issues. Left messages with employees, the owner would not return calls. Finally, I showed up on their lot. All they wanted to do was argue, blame shift. Would not listen to simple reason or take responsibility. I called the lender! Finally, the dealer agreed to take the car to a professional mechanic. Diagnosis: "BLOWN HEAD GASKET". Over the weekend they took it to "another" mechanic, he replaced the radiator and thermostat, and they said it DID NOT have a blown head gasket. I drive the car and the temp gauge starts acting crazy going up and down sporadically! Everyone I spoke to said it sounded like "air in the system" that needed to be bled which is common for Subarus. I took it to a radiator shop, he bled the system and replaced the thermostat AGAIN. Said the dealers mechanic did shoddy work and put in the wrong part. Still not fixed. (Note: I called the dealer, she did not know if she had any repair receipts, then did not call me back. Called their mechanic, he was HOSTILE, said he did not want to have anything to do with the dealer or the car.) MY mechanic gave me a referral for a mechanic that did engine work. Due to the problem being intermittent, the problem was very difficult to diagnose, He checked the car but could not figure out was wrong with it. NOTE: I had told all these mechanics that it COULD NOT be a blown head gasket because the dealer had told me it wasn't so none of them were testing for it. Last week, I took it to a Subaru specialist. Final diagnosis: BLOWN HEAD GASKET. I called the dealer's mechanic, He was hostile AGAIN, said he did not want to have anything to do with the dealer, said HE DID NOT REMEMBER CHECKING THE HEAD GASKET and hung up on me. Car was misdiagnosed and never fixed properly by their mechanic. It has had a blown gasket the entire time. Called the dealer, she would not talk to me. Employee was rude, argumentative, and talked over me incessantly.
