Initial Business Response /* (1000, 16, 2016/04/01) */
Dear Ms. [redacted]
Thank you for your fax of March 25, 2016. Wilson Homes, Inc. has reviewed the complaint submitted by Mr. [redacted] and has asked me to submit the following response.
Initially, please let me note that Wilson Homes did not...

respond to the original letter from the Revdex.com because it did not receive that letter. The letter was sent to a Shaw Avenue address which Wilson Homes has not occupied since 2005. Wilson Homes' correct address is [redacted] N. [redacted] Ave., Suite [redacted] Fresno, CA XXXXX. Please make a note of it.
Mr. & Mrs. [redacted] purchased their home from Wilson Homes pursuant to a written purchase agreement dated April 17, 2014. A copy of that agreement is attached hereto as Exhibit 1 and is incorporated herein by this reference as though fully set forth. That agreement provided that the home was being sold with a 1-year warranty covering cosmetic issues, such as drywall cracking. See Exhibit D to Exhibit I, at pages 2 and 22. The warranty expressly provides that Wilson Homes will repair drywall cracks which are more than 1/16" in width one time only within the first year after close of escrow. That 1-year warranty was the only warranty the home was sold with. (Exhibit 1, page 16.)
The Grant Deed to the [redacted] for their residence was recorded on September 23,2014. A copy of that deed is attached hereto as Exhibit 2 and is incorporated herein by this reference as though fully set forth. As a result, the 1-year warranty on the [redacted]' residence as related to drywall cracks expired on September 23,2015.
Before the [redacted]' 1-year warranty expired, Wilson Homes did perform drywall repairs at the residence and addressed every drywall crack the homeowners identified. Attached hereto as Exhibit 3 is a copy of a September 26,2015 e-mail from Mr. [redacted] to Wilson Homes, which demonstrates that Mr. [redacted]' request for repairs of additional "hairline" drywall cracks not previously reported came 3 days after the warranty had expired.
Nonetheless, Wilson Homes dispatched a customer service representative to the [redacted] residence to view the additional cracks for which repairs were requested. On October 5, 2015, the cracks were inspected and found to be hairline cracks less than 1/16" in width. Therefore, they would not have been warrantable even had the [redacted] made a timely request. Attached hereto as Exhibit 4 is a copy of an October 8, 2015 e-mail from Mr. [redacted] to Wilson Homes which confirms the foregoing timeline.
Wilson Homes strives to build homes which exceed the expectations of their customers. On rare occasions, those expectations are unreasonable and cannot be met. The hairline drywall cracks about which the [redacted] complain are not covered by the sole warranty that Wilson Homes provided with the sale of the house, Wilson Homes already made the one drywall cracks repair covered by the warranty, and the homeowners' request for a second repair was not made timely.
Should you have any questions, please feel free to call.
Very truly yours,
[redacted] F. [redacted]

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 18, 2016/04/06) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I do not deny the timing of the additional cracks or the repairs that had been performed by Wilson Homes, however, some of the previous repairs in drywall and tile have already cracked again.
Wilson Homes say they strive to build homes that exceed the expectations of there customers?
I don't believe it is unreasonable to ask that a new home be built without the drywall joints bubbling/cracking throughout the house, paint peeling off exterior door jambs, holes in concrete pads, scratches in bathtubs due to subcontractors removal of stains and patchwork, improper wiring (to many outlets on circuits and no electrical ground system) performed by unlicensed electricians as required by State of California, among other items.
California law requires a 1 year warranty although I doubt it allows for a 1 time repair and may be extended due to poor workmanship or inferior materials.
I would be curious to know if Mr. [redacted] would allow this type of workmanship in his own home, and would invite Mr. [redacted] to come and look and see if he would be happy living in a house that he built.
