First let me respond with the information that the name of the business is Eagle Valley Motors and is no longer owned by...

[redacted]. Currently the issues have been resolved with customer and her vehicle is in our shop being repaired.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 10, 2017/04/02) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The car is in their shop and has been there since 3/6/17. My hope is that it will be completely repaired & I will be satisfied. At the moment, I can neither agree or disagree as I have not received the repaired vehicle back yet.
Final Consumer Response /* (3000, 15, 2017/04/17) */
On 4/15/17, a call was received from Eagle Valley Motors stating the engine & coil had been installed & when they took it for a test drive, there was a hissing noise, so the car lot is looking at the warranty on the engine. When we said per Dan it is supposed to be a new engine, the comment made was "is that what you were told?"
This tells me that they did not put in a NEW engine & they are still lying to us & not doing what they have said.
They have now had this vehicle in their possession for 6 weeks. At this point, there are two options left that they can do.

1: a new vehicle or
2: return our money in full & we will go elsewhere for a vehicle.
Final Business Response /* (1000, 24, 2017/05/05) */
Car was purchased as is- we had NO liability in either fixing the car nor refunding any funds. As we are NOT the lienholder we could not accept it as a repo nor do anything concerning the bank loan. However, we did, in fact put a motor in this customers car at our expense and gave the customer a loaner car while her car was being worked on.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2017/06/15) */
This vehicle was purchased with one item "due for repair". A wiper fluid reservoir cap. Every item on the vehicle inspection sheet is checked as NEEDS REPAIR. Customer signed. The salesman this customer dealt with is no longer employed by Eagle...

Valley Motors. We have no way of knowing what he may have said to a customer outside of the written contract. This was a purchase in the amount of $2000.00 cash sale, with no warranty.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 10, 2017/06/19) */

This is a totally unsatisfactory Response. The purchase of this vehicle was as is with the repairs to be made. The vehicle was inoperable for over 4 Months. With promises weekly until the salesman Brian quit then the owner Dan and his sales manager Scott ( owners son) both assured me That they would order and pay for the part if I did the repairs myself. This after several weeks of back and forth of asking them just to make it right. When I finally was standing in front of them they told me I would have to purchase the part from them. They never even replaced the wiper filler cap. Let alone any other thing that was promised. To get my daughters car running I finally had to spend $440 plus $21.99 for shipping. Then I had to spend around 6 hours replacing the part myself just to get the vehicle running. Not to mention I drove 8 hours one way to get the part from eagle valley motors. When I got there I was ignored for over 45 minutes. Then I was told very rudely I had to purchase the part from them and they would not honor the verbal contract made by them. If they have an employee that makes a deal they should honor that deal and also if they make a deal they should honor that deal. I also paid over $2,500. for the vehicle not $2,000. They did not even check why the check engine light was on or do an oil change that was promised. We also had to wait 4 days to pick up the vehicle after the purchase of the vehicle. Maybe employees of this company should not make deals without consent of the owner.

We also have the signed contract and we had several verbal contracts not just with Brian but also Scott a receipt from Brian stating we paid over $2500. and the vehicle was in no where near good condition dents in the doors bumper was falling off and several other items which is why we paid a lower price. Knowing that the only thing wrong mechanically as we were told by Brian that the 4 wheel drive did not work correctly. The part in question was not on the inspection sheet. Brian assured us the Vehicle would be put on a code reader before we picked it up. This supposedly why we didn't get the vehicle until 4 days after purchase and then openly admitted later that the vehicle was never put on the machine or the oil changed. I called Brian on the way home from the dealership stating that the vehicle was not running properly the day we picked it up. He stated the mechanic shop would not be available for a month. The vehicle sat for 4 months waiting on false promises that this mickey mouse company would fix it.I finally had to fix it with money out of my own pocket and do the repairs myself because no one would honor the deal. If the price was $1,951.24 where is the other 500 + dollars that we spent to purchase the vehicle in cash. I will never do business with this company again let alone let them work on my vehicle. I already replaced the cap and did all the repairs this company said the would do with money out of my pocket all I want is for them to reimburse me for the part $461.99 That they promised they would. I feel This is a huge compromise seeing as how I did all the labor and replaced all the parts myself. Also I paid full coverage insurance on the vehicle that did not run for 4 Months because we were promised ever week that it was going to be repaired so we could not complete a non-op at the DMV. Not to mention the inconvenience of being lied to and driving well over a 1000 miles to come retrieve the part they told me they had ordered only to be told they wanted me to pay for it. This company needs to take responsibility for the actions and negligence of their employees regardless if the employees are still working for them or not. Throughout this entire process not only Brian but the entire crew Lied, acted uncaring and incredibly unprofessional.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 12, 2017/06/20) */
We have the signed contracts and documents to prove what was paid and what was promised. The wiper fluid cap is the only item DUE per the contract. We are more than willing to replace the cap on an apt basis. The price of the vehicle was $1951.24. In good condition this vehicle currently books retail at $4613.00. We sold this vehicle AS IS with the customers signature that every item on the inspection sheet needs repair. Thus, the price of the vehicle.

Customer was given his money back and the vehicle sale was cancelled.
