Review: Bought a black Wilwood master cylinder from Mustangs Plus, December 2012. About 3 months later I noticed the "E-coating" used in the bowls was peeling and flaking off, contaminating my brake system. Since it was past the 90 day return or exchange I contacted Wilwood which sent me a replacement. About 2 weeks later I received the replacement, which was scratched and dinged, the day after I installed it I noticed the same thing peeling paint. At this point I expressed that I no longer wanted the black master cylinder. So I exchanged it for a polished one. Which had the spring break inside the bore while I was bench bleeding it on the car. So I get another polished one which was OK for a couple months until I noticed my stopping distances were getting longer and longer and the brake pedal ended up bottoming out with the car still moving. I was told adamantly by one of their reps that there was no way it failed instead I had a pressure leak in my brakes. So I replaced; rear wheel cylinders, drums, shoes, body to axle brake line and proportioning valve. I was in constant contact with Wilwood updating them as this went along. Once I had narrowed it down to THEIR product (fluid and pressure was coming from only one bore, instead of both) all of a sudden communication from their end stopped. After several attempts email and phone I got a hold of someone who offered to once again replace the product, at this point I expressed my utter disappointment with their product and inability to trust it and was abundantly clear that all I wanted was my money back for the product and the shipping they charged to my credit card in order to ship me a return. They said no, due to the fact I bought it through Mustangs Plus. I got Mustangs Plus involved and they offered to do even less at that point they wouldn't even refund them the net cost of the product. I called after that and left a voice mail and no one has called me back, its been about 2 weeks now. This is my daily driver and additionally I am a mechanic.Desired Settlement: All I am asking for is the retail price of the product plus the unauthorized shipping charge on my credit card.

Review: I returned 5 items to Wilwood in the original manufacture's packaging. FedEx tracking number [redacted]176856. Package containing items: 170-12770(2), 160-7100BK, 160-7099BK, 250-12774(2), 300-12777(2)was received by Wilwood on 3/27. I never received refund or was notified about the status. I called and spoke to Service on 4/30 and 5/30.Desired Settlement: I purchased many items from Wilwood and I think highly about Wilwood product but when comes down to returning or exchanging parts there is huge gap and unprofessional customer service. The identified items were shipped unused in original manufactures packaging with my cell number and email, so there should be any reason for the extensive delay to refund me the money. I don't trust anymore Wilwood customer service, therefore I would appreciate Revdex.com to help me with this situation.

Regards,

Review: I bought some brake pads from them, recommended by them, last year. I used them this past July, and they over-heated so bad that I lost my brakes and the heat permanently discolored the brake calipers. I used them for only one session at a race track (their website saying that these are race pads). I called to get some resolution and they said these are not the right pads( contrary to their website advertising), and that my car isn't even listed as the part fitting it (I called last year when I got them and told them they needed to update their website part numbers). I need to replace my brake calipers so that they are back to original condition.Desired Settlement: I would like them to compensate me for the cost of rear calipers (I'll settle for used ones they are just as good). The cost, on E-Bay, is $299 for a set of rear brake calipers which is exactly what I need.
