I paid this man money to build a pavilion he said would be done in two weeks. After almost four months it still is not done and now he won’t even show up to complete the project. We call him every couple of days to ask when he is coming back out to do more work and he always has an excuse why he can’t.
A few of the twenty or more we have heard
My truck broke down
My trailer axle broke
My partner is sick
My dad is in town from out of state
It’s raining to hard
Ordered materials but they aren’t here yet
Scheduling conflict
I’m not feeling well
Radiator blew in my work truck
It gets worse from there. He changed design plans without notifying us and everything looks terrible. Cuts are off, concrete looks terrible and you should see the fireplace and chimney he built us! It’s so bad that another contractor says it was built by someone who doesn’t have a clue what they are doing and now it will all need to be dismantled and moved so it doesn’t burn down our whole structure. Do not do business with this man. He is awful and doesn’t have near the building knowledge he claims to have. Yes lawsuits are coming
The design change was only made to the skeletal structure and was approved verbally. The timeline did change and entire project was updated with pictures and through our project management system. We were notified on a Sunday that we had 4 hours to remove all of our equipment and tools from the property or it would be towed. As far as the fireplace it was not complete nor were we given a chance to complete it. I believe due to the extra time it took to build this structure and the extra time it took to build the fireplace it created most of the problems. I believe the fact that this caused frustration it opened the door for another contractor to come in mid project and voice an opinion that completely discredited the job. As I said it was not complete. I’m happy to discuss options to make it right within reason.
Hired Mark W owner of Wimrich construction to add on spa/sun room on 9/24/2019 the job by contract should of been done by 11/15/2019 as of today (02/07/2020 not only the job is not done but we had to hire other people to come and fix all the stuff that was not done properly example 3 windows needed to be tempered as Inspector told us - the drywall was not properly taped sanded and textured with big gaps between walls half the concrete slab was not poured (still isnt)- and a lot more stuff that we have to hire someone else to do. Mark always made some kind of excuses why he is not here working or he showed up for few minutes talking about everything else but the job and than he left.
He was paid fully for what he estimated and we agreed for the job.
We also failed final inspection because of him.
We do have all the documentation pictures and text available for anyone to see.
he owes us money for hiring other people which he verbally and via text agreed to pay he also owe us for another half of the concrete slab
We are currently working on a resolution to make this client happy. Please suspend all reporting as I will have something in writing to show resolution within 14 Days.
