When Robert left there, he gave her an estimate to knock down stipple ceiling, roller texture existing ceiling, re-texture and paint it? Also included in quote was to remove some wallpaper that was on a high area in her stairway? She was not charged in the quote for the wallpaper removal? He told her that it may not look right? She gave her verbal consent to do the work. When Robert and his worker went out to do the work, the consumer had a negative demeanor and made them uncomfortable to be in her house? When they got to the corner, there weren't any wood studs to screw the metal corner beads to? He used paper to try to mud the area? The contractor who did the drywall did not correctly install the drywall? Correcting the drywall was not included in the estimate given to the consumer? She wasn't paying them to correct the drywall, only to go over the existing work? Robert did the best he could. On the second day, he painted the ceiling? When the work was finished, the consumer was still unhappy with the corner? She withheld $from the final payment so that she could redo it herself? She was satisfied with all the rest of the job, only not happy with the corner? She contacted the electrician, her ex-husband? The business owner talked to the ex-husband? He was the reason they originally did the work? The ex-husband said that she had tried to contact the business, but was unable to do so? Therefore, she filed the complaint with Revdex.com? The business has no record of any calls from her and the ex didn't really know why she called? The consumer already reduced the amount she paid the business? The business does not believe they owe the consumer any additional refund

I am rejecting this response because:Uncomfortable? Interesting he and I talked all about his mother in law and all he had done for her before she passed because my father is very ill right nowWhen he told me he was finished I told him it did not look finishedI was unhappy with his work especially the soffitHe said it needed corner beadWhich he then did not offer to doSo he knew what needed to be done and did not offer to fix itNothing to screw to? How do they think the soffit was built? With a wood frameSo there most certainly was something to attach it tooThere is also corner bead that can be put up using joint compoundAgain showing their ignorance and inability to do this job. When I discussed this with Andrea she said that was the best he could doI told her they should not have taken the job if they were not capable of doing it properly because the contractor that came in after them was able to do it I shorted them because I was planning on taking the next couple weeks to try & find someone to fix itIf I had realized that it could not be fixed and that I would have to pay someone to completely sand it down and redo the whole thing I would not have paid them at allThe new drywaller said I should not have paid themAs previously stated a drywaller came out and redid this correctly The ceiling had flat spots without any stipple on it, the edges were a messAround the fan was a messI took pictures of itI was up all night moving furniture and cleaning because I work out of my house and had to have it completely done by the next morning at amThey plastic they hung in the doorway was too short so dust got all over my living roomI had to clean carpets & the electronics in my living room were covered with dustAfter this fiasco I looked to see if they had a facebook page and a better business accountThey are listed as painters & landscapersIf this was as good as they could do according to Andrea then they should not have taken the jobWhen I spoke with her on the phone she said she would refund my moneySo on top of all the inconvenience and stress she was not honest with me I will take my new contractors invoice, print out the pictures showing the wonderful job he did, and file this with small claims courtI'm sure a judge can look at the before & after pictures and determine who the real drywaller is
