Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: It is full of lies, lies and more liesI do not have a copy of the contract because Litchfield never provided it to me They did NOT phone me several times They did promise to make things right, but they made things worseTo take advantage of a senior citizen is terrible I was verbally promised that the work would be done before the growing season What happened to truthfulness? I have provided a copy of contract to customer. It was signed in April but clearly states 4-weeks for install weather permittingCustomer was called to inform her that we were running behind because of all the rain we had that spring. She never called or emailed backOn the day we
showed up, which she received a phone call letting her know we were coming, she decided she didn't need the fence anymore because "she killed the cow and put it in the freezer." Our contract clearly states that customer has business days to cancel contract after signing. she did not do this. But we decided to do her a favor and do some work around her property and repairs to other fences. Our workers spent around hours, one hour drive time each way included, working on her property. We sent her an email stating the total of the repairs done but she was not satisfied. below is a copy of email sent to customer regarding work that was being done on her propertysent on 09/13/2017 > Hello,we> have done the numbers and what follows is what is the work> completed and materials used. there are ten gates> repaired, boards replaced, a 30ft ditch was dug with 30ft> of wire installed into ground, installed pressure treated> posts, installed ground rods, installed ground clamps and> crimps> total> so far is $2033.21> please> let me know if you have any other> questions Thanks!***

That's when we informed her that the she had had business days to cancel the contract after signing. We are sorry that the customer is not happy with our policies but this is why we insist people read the fine print

I am rejecting this response because:MrJ*** and his company is not consumer friendlyOf course I knew that I had days to cancel the contract, but since I sent in a check on good faith, I thought that all work would be completed in a timely fashionMrJ*** was told why I wanted the fence done for the growing season and yet, he choose to ignore my April contract and do something else until JulyGrowing season was at its primetoo late for grazing.And then, he agreed to make all well by sending his man, Richie, down on various days to fix other items of which I have already written about in the previous documentThe wiring is still "snapping underground as I type this letter. Feeling sorry for me does not justify the facts I am still owed $Please send me a check as quick as I sent you my check last April This would be the best business practiceIn fact, I would accept a $check and go on with my life

To whom it may concern,I have attached a copy of the contract SIGNED by [redacted]  It clearly states in the fine print that the purchaser has three days to cancel contract.  Seeing as she did not do that, we didn't owe her money but did her a favor by doing work to her other fences and around her property.  I am also sorry that she feels we are taking advantage of a senior citizen but I, Brian J[redacted] the owner, am also considered a senior citizen Also in this line of business, work gets delayed because of weather since it is done outside.  Very rainy spring=delayed workMy office manager is very aware of all jobs we do, otherwise she would be of little use. We are sorry [redacted] feels the way she does, but a signed contract is a signed contract.  We urge to always read the fine print and make a copy of the contract as the contractor is not responsible for providing a copy. SincerelyBrian J[redacted]

I was verbally promised that the work would be done before the growing season . What happened to truthfulness?  6. This secretary wasn't there and cannot know everything that transpired. She has changed the timing of events.
