I brought a signed and numbered print to this business to be framed for a holiday present. I picked it up. Did not examine it. Last night as I wrapped it I noticed it was not my original print that was framed but rather a photo copy of inferior quality. I left the business owner a message and have not heard back. I am fearful of a confrontation .
Contact by the Business Please contact me as I do not know the process. This vendor was found at a local craft show. I am concerned about other customers being potentially scammed as I was.
I have been in this business for over 27 years and have never been accused of any wrong doing. Whatever this customer thinks happened, she is wrong. I do not make copies of customers items, in fact I do not have the equipment to make colour copies of any kind. This is not the type of product I sell and therefore would have no reason to duplicate it.
A couple of clarifications:
1. What the customer brought in for framing was NOT a Signed and Numbered Print. It was a colour copy of a Hulk image. It was in a cellophane wrapper and I did not even take it out of the package until the frame arrived and then framed it. Perhaps the customer forgot what the quality was like from when she purchased it to when it was framed.
2. The night she phoned to complain, she left a message in the early morning (between 12:30 -2:00 AM). The next business day I called her back and had to leave a message. She then called me back and we spoke. I told her that I don't copy customers products and have no reason to copy something like that considering that it's not the type of product I would ever sell.
She then hung up on me..
Whatever she brought in to be framed is what was framed. There was absolutely NO copies made.
