Great tenant scr---d over by forced to go month to month
I lived in the same rental for 3 years and 7 months. The property management told me the only alternative to staying when my lease expired was to sign a month to month, and with an increase of 10% to my rent. Then out of no where they decide to end my lease with no explanation and guess what, they don't have to give one since it's month to month. No loyalty in spite of the fact I paid my rent on time every month for 3 1/2 + years. I will never work with this company again and would NOT recommend you do so either.

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:
*** *** *** play the same way to the most of their tenents, over charge the tenants out of the security deposit, delaying repair service, lacking of comunication, etc according to the report out of Yelpyet, the company have never face any legal penalty That is why they do not care a bit as long as the landlords continue giving their business This is unust to those tenants who feel being robbed.Sincerely,***-*** ***

Multiple people from my company have already explained to this complainer that her money will be refunded by the 3rd party screening service that placed a "hold" on her credit card when she submitted her application Windermere does not have her money and we never ran her screening This
has been explained multiple times, and the screening service will release the hold on her $application fee within the week
End of story

Once again this is already being handled directly by Laurie R***, without need to involve the Revdex.com

We are already dealing with this issue directly This is exactly why we no longer wish to participate with the Revdex.com I have now had to address this former tenant via phone, email, Yelp, and the Revdex.com It's redundant and a waste of time We are well aware of this issue and it is
being dealt with already

I found office staff to be unorganized, unprofessional, and rude. My rental required a lot of repairs/maintenance during my lease, and each interaction with office staff was unpleasant. The rental was not move-in ready when I signed the lease and picked up the keys, and some promised repairs were never finished. My lease stippulated that the carpets had been cleaned before I moved in and that I would be required to pay for the carpets to be cleaned after move-out. However, the carpets were not cleaned before my move-in (lots of pet stains/odors and indentations in the carpet from previous furniture) and yet I was still charged for carpet cleaning. Avoid doing business with Windermere if you can!

While walking my dog by a vacant rental in the neighborhood I noticed that there was a nice car in the driveway and the front door was left wide open. I thought, "great, someone has rented this place and we will have once less vacant house on the street." Within a split second, what looked like a pit bull came charging out the front door and straight towards my dog and me. His manner was so aggressive that I feared the worst. I screamed "get your dog!! get your dog!! get your dog!" I don't know why but the dog stopped dead in his tracks and the owner came out and stood on the front door step and watched. I yelled something like "you can't have your dog charging after people walking their dogs!!!!!"" The man who I presume was[redacted] made no comment to me, no apologies, nothing. I was so shaken and so livid. If this aggressive pit bull had not stopped running towards us I think he would have caused major harm to my small dog and me.
Now, after thinking about the incident, I am still completely disgusted my this man's behavior. Why could you not have apologized? Why, if you are the leasing agent, do you have your dog off leash in your client's home? If you were my leasing agent I would fire you if I got wind of this.
Mr. [redacted], your behavior is totally unforgiveable and completely disrespectful. Next time you come into MY neighborhood, I will be looking for your car. I recorded your license plate number. And if I see your dog off leash I will be calling 911 immediately.

I recently attempted to rent a property from Windermere. Unfortunately, I didn't check the Revdex.com first. When we tried to take possession, Windermere did not provide us with keys (per WA law). They said to get them from the lock box. The box was empty, and there were workers in the building actually working when we tried to get them. The house was unlivable, with garbage piled everywhere, bare wires, filthy conditions.
I attempted to work with Windermere (and get the keys), but they refused to help beyond sending a cleaner. I had to hire a lawyer to get my rent and deposit back.
This company is VERY dishonest and you do business with them at your own risk. Please read the other reviews before taking the risk.

Windermere property management is a horrible management company. The property my family and I live in managed by them is in complete disrepair. We call to put a work order in or have a problem with anything here and they either ignore or just plain don't care. They change property managers so often for the property we never know who's in charge and they also don't pass any messages or knowledge onto the new person. Nobody at there office knew that the previous property person was having tenants show there apartments. They just plain don't care about there tenants just the money coming in

Rude, uncaring staff. Difficult to resolve issues with rental property. I foolishly spent some of my own money to fix small issues, like a toilet that would not quit running and the back door that would not shut correctly.
Basement carpet was not new when we moved in, it had several spots/stains. These were all documented in the initial walk through and we took pictures. However, when we moved out, they claimed the carpets were new prior to my family moving in and slammed our deposit. We THOROUGHLY cleaned the place prior to leaving, but they took more of our deposit for cleaning fees. I talked with them, but remember the first line of the review . . RUDE! They normally deal with WSU students, so they are just in for an easy buck.
And I recently found out that the owner's/manager's daughter owns the cleaning service Windermere utilizes for post-move out cleanings. Shady much!?!

Do not rent from or turn your home over to be rented by this so called company. Windermere has been absolutely horrific in professionalism, honesty, verbally, ethically. The can and I'm sure will go on and on until they are hit with a law suit. Brooke and Todd who by the way has a criminal background are not in any way professional or honest. They do not exercise common sense in the filed that they practice. They have no clue for correct protocol when it comes to emergency maintenance situations that can effect your health and the well being of ones home. Upon move in they incorrectly charged and we lost money and their excuse was "beyond a certain time of day we don't charge" in regards to first day of move in. Brooke has made unprofessional comments in regards to private information about tenants and homeowners (finances, types of things people own..etc...) We (tenant/homeowner) have been able to compare notes and have busted the scheme and lack of work with this company. I will not ever have any dealings with this company, nor will I refer my colleagues, friends or family to rent, buy, loan property with these people. Stay away, and if you are currently waiting for the lease to end, make sure you have your attorney on hand when they will more than likely try to hijack your money or overcharge fees.

Review: I hired Windermere Property Management ([redacted]) last fall to take over management of my single family home. I stumbled upon their managment after having issues with another managment office.

Initially I was impressed by the communication and concern they seemed to have and thought that I had made a good decision. The second month in though I noticed that my owners statement was incorrect. I was essentially double charged the management fee. I phoned them to get the fee reversed. It took several attempts and emails to get the credit straightened out. On top of that the refund was not quick. It took at least 5 business days for them to return the funds to me. They apologized and said it was due to a new system being installed.

The next month I was notified that the pipes were clogged at the home. I sent a plumber I selected to home only to find out that the tenant had thrown feminine hygiene products down the line clogging it. I politely asked Windermere to pass a small portion of the nearly $400 I incurred on to the tenant for neglect. They argued with me stating that I should probably just let it go and pay for it even though in my opinion this was something that could have been prevented. In the end they did end up charging the tenant $150 after I insisted that this was not due to faulty plumbing at the home.

In January I reviewed my owners statement to find out that the Avista bill was approximately $200 past due. I didn't think much of it until I received my owners draw in February. My draw was short over $200. I called and wanted an explanation and as usual it took about 4 calls to get someone to call me back. Emails were not returned promptly either. Finally the explanation was that someone had inadvertently mixed up the address of my property with another (the one that happened to have the past due Avista bill) and thus Windermere had charged my owner draw the amount due to Avista. Again, it took at least 5 business days to get the funds deposited into my account. When I asked them why they wouldn't call me if the amount they were going to pay me was any less than it should be there was no explanation. I don't like being blindsided with fees or having to find out that something has gone wrong. Apparently it was not a priority for anyone at the office to call or email and say, 'by the way, there's a problem and this is what it is..etc etc.' Instead someone just blindly assessed charges to my account and then I was left to sort out the mess.

I terminated my contract effective February 28th due to the lackluster service I received. I guess I wasn't quite sure what I was getting for the 10% a month in fees I was paying. In my experience with Windermere there was no sense of urgency to call landowners back, no general accounting practices in effect, and no follow through. I wondered that if I wasn't so diligent about checking my owners statement if they ever would have caught the excess charges they charged me.

Since I have terminated my contract I have had trouble collecting the tenants deposit from Windermere and also my owner hold back in the amount of $300. Emails have gone unanswered for days, calls go to voicemail, and its just frustrating to know that I am a last priority. Most recently I was told on March 3 that it will be about another 10 days before the funds are returned. Apparently its because there is a 'process' to close an account. Nothing was ever mentioned about a process or received by me in written format. Now I am stuck waiting indefinately for them to figure out when they will release my funds and the tenants deposit.Desired Settlement: The tenants deposit and my entire owner hold back need to be returned to me post haste. The continual delays and excuses are unacceptable. Due notice was given January 31st. Everything should have been ready to close out, but instead they are dragging this on and holding on to the tenants deposit even though they are no longer the property manager.
