Window Broker Inc. Reviews (6)

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
I also would like to add that Window Broker claims they forwarded the warrantee in 2014? Why years later did they mail the warrantee? Also, it was assumed this was what happened to my windows and no one offered to come to look at them to verify who's at fault with my window problem How can a business operate successfully by disregarding you as a customer once they make a sale?
Regards,
*** ***

[redacted], in reference to the response from Mrs. [redacted]: my company unfortunately, is well aware of the seal failures the [redacted] are experiencing with their windows manufactured by Gorell. We have had similar Gorell window issues and that is why we feel it is not necessary to go to the [redacted] home .In reference to the warranty provided, it was provided 5/13/09.That was a clerical error in my previous response. Attached please find the receipt of payment from the [redacted] on May 12,09. The next day our office provided the written warranty from Gorell. It was not provided 5 yrs. later. Thank you.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.  We were told this by a secretary upon first calling and asked what the cost would be for the glass. We were told someone would get back to us within a 24 hour period, however we never heard from anyone. My issue is with the way this has been handled from the beginning, with no respect shown to customers who have spent thousands at this business. In order to fully resolve this problem, I would like to speak directly with someone from the company.  This business constantly advertises "customer satisfaction" as their number one goal. The owner even did a recent interview about always wanting to resolve any issues a customer is having. Their knowledge and disregard of our complaints is proof that they do not put words into action.  Regards,  [redacted]

September 22,2015Re: Consumer: *Our Client: The Window BrokerComplaint ID.: [redacted]Our File No.: [redacted]Dear Sir or Madam:We represent the Window Broker, Inc. and have been asked to respond to [redacted] complaint. The Window Broker, Inc. is located at 735 Main Street, Johnson City,...

NY13790. Colleen J is the President. The Window Broker, Inc. has been in business for over 30 years.The best response to [redacted] complaint is the letter dated August 5, 2015 that I sent to the [redacted].  I attach a copy of my letter dated August 5, 2015. As you can see from theletter and a review of the contract, the roof work was only one aspect of the overall contract. Furthermore, as I understand it, [redacted] was on the Board of the HomeownersAssociation and certainly had to know about the uniformity requirements for shingles. It must be kept in mind that the [redacted]' roof is attached to a neighbor's roof, so uniformity of shingles is animportant criteria. As the Homeowners Association pointed out to the [redacted], there are perfectly acceptable shingles that can be used. Even if the particular type of shingle that the [redacted] wantis not acceptable to a Homeowners Association, it makes no sense that the [redacted], as homeowners, who need roof work, simply change their mind and say they do not want to do theroof work. It is also illogical that the other major work under the Window Broker contract would not occur, but there is no reference to that other work in the complaint with your office. I suspectthere is more to this than is referenced in the Loudon complaint. What makes more sense is that the [redacted] have had discussions with another contractor who claims they can beat the WindowBroker's prices. Of course, if that is what has occurred then that is not a basis for termination of a valid existing contract. In terms of an offer of compromise, the Window Broker, Inc. would be willing to offer to two options. One, receive a payment of $2200.00 for the time and effort to measure, price costing, estimating, and pre construction administration and release the balance of $2800.00 to the [redacted]. Two, hold the pricing of the contract for three (3) years with a materials only priceadjustment (increase or decrease) at the time the Loundons decide to proceed with all of the work referenced in their valid binding contract. Please contact me with any questions or other issues on this matter. Thank you.Very truly yours,Alan  PAJP/rnlfEnclosureALAN J.

[redacted], good morning. Attached please find a copy of the contract signed 4/2/09 by Mr. [redacted]. As you will read in the contract the window warranty comes directly from the manufacturer, which was Gorell. Also attached please find a copy of the Gorell Warranty, provided to the [redacted] on May...

13,2014.Also provide to you is a copy of a legal notice referencing the court ordered sale of Gorell. This states that Soft-lite purchased only assets and not liabilities which would be the glass failures the [redacted] are experiencing. Submitted also is a decision and order from the Vestal Court issued by the Honorable Judge [redacted] referencing the same issues Mr. [redacted] is experiencing and the decision based on fact and law by the court. My company stands behind all valid written warranties issued at the time the contract was signed and feel for the [redacted] but do not feel responsible for replacing the sashes manufactured by a company that has closed their doors.

A representative from The Window Broker went out in August to get the glass size for the window with the seal failure. At that time the rep noticed the frame around the glass was coming apart. We checked with the manufacturer who advised us the glass is replaceable but the frame around the glass is...

no longer available as it has been over 15 years. We left a message for the [redacted]'s in August to let them know what we found out. We did not hear back from the [redacted]'s at that time. However, we are still able to change the glass to repair the seal failure. We would not be able to fix the [redacted] Frame. We are waiting on a quote from the manufacturer as to how much the glass would be. We have called the [redacted]'s to make them aware but have not received a returned phone call. As soon as we receive the quote for the glass, we will make the [redacted]'s aware of the cost.
