Terrible quality and service. New windows installed and four years later the faulty seal (confirmed by their technician) caused the windows to turn foggy. Our windows were still under warranty, but Window City wants the us to pay AGAIN for installation on windows they manufactured with poor quality.
Order XXXXXX, paid in full on 16 JUNE 2014. Have issues with more than half of windows installed in my house - dents, scratches, ants, dust collection from outside due to not quality plastic covers outside to glass pack, not glued / welded properly frame parts, not properly connected glass pack to frame and more - will attach pictures for every window, if possible here
product is still under within warranty
Hi there, customer was contacted and we had scheduled our service technician to visit the home to further investigate the issue at hand. We are in the process of scheduling a second visit to complete the service. Update to follow once completed. Thank you.
The issue in not yet resolved, status is - in progress - they called, sent technician, now IN A WEEK we (both sides) are expecting another visit to correct some deficiencies, but should be a good weather (the reason why visit was canceled for current week - due to rain in a day the visit was scheduled for).

I guess I have to give up on this company. Over the last month, I have posted 4 messages on their 'Send Us a Message' on their website, sent 4 emails, and left a phone message with their service desk. Basically, no response. My situation is that I am not a direct customer of theirs. I purchased their product through an installer in Calgary in 2016 - the installer who has since gone out of business. But the product installed is Window City windows and hardware. The scissor closing hardware on one of the windows has failed and the window will not close, about an inch and a half gap exists. I did receive an email response to my first email giving me the name of a company in Calgary who may have dealt with Window City and may be able to help. I went to see this company and their Calgary branch had never dealt with Window City so this was a dead end. I contacted the fellow who send the email and he never responded again.
ALL I am asking of them is to let me purchase the hardware so I can get it installed and close the window. I am especially antsy now as the temperature in our fair city is zero now, with snow, and winter is on the way. Their warranty on hardware is "WINDOW HARDWARE - FIVE YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY-Window City warrants the hardware against defects for the period stated of the product excluding abuse of hardware (such as over tightening of the mechanism which may cause the roto gear to strip)." Given that their warranty is 5 years and I bought in 2016, it implies to me that they must have the hardware. I'm not asking them to honor any warranty or install any product-just to please contact me and let me acquire the hardware. I'm flabbergasted that there is no response from this company and furious that I spent thousands upon thousands of dollar on their product and cannot even get a part from them that they must have in stock.
I had new casement windows installed from window city for whole house on Nov.17, 2017. Every thing looks like fine, but when cold weather came, some of windows had freeze on it, others didn't have it. In the same condition of rooms, why did it happen? I call the company to check it out.The inspector came and didn't find anything wrong.
I couldn't accept window city products are energy star certified.
I think their products thermal performance are not good at all.They should replace all the windows which have freeze problem.

As per our records, the dealer you purchased from submitted an online service request January 16 and our service technician was on-site January 18. Our service technician checked and he adjusted 3 casement windows to make them close tighter. He did not find any other problem and the case was closed.
We were surprised by the complaint as we have not received anything after the service visit. Kindly let is know if schedule a joint visit wherein we have the dealer, Window City service technician, and yourself all present at the same time so that we can look into any further concerns/problems at hand.

When the technician came to service, all the windows didn't have any icy neither freeze.I don't understand what he did how can keep away icy or freeze from the windows in the future. If it called energy star window, I felt I was been mislead in my case. My old windows sometimes were icy on it. They call there is leaking on the it.They said new windows shouldn't have that kind of problem at all. I believe what they told me and replace all the windows. But the results made me sad. I recommend they should review the quality of their products make sure they meet the standard which they are going to stand up in the market. Thank for your time and understanding.
