Window Fellas Inc Reviews (4)

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
My reply to their dishonest rebuttal is below. I have attached pictures and a snapshot of an email from Petr to me in which he states he will send me the 10% refund but never does. Please let me know if you require anything else from me:

I found Petr G[redacted] response to my complaint highly amusing. He calls me a liar without understanding the potential legal implications of this accusation—he should be more careful.
1.       He states that “The slight scratch visible in the picture was overlooked in the dim lighting of the warehouse and only discovered while we were cleaning the window for the customer after the installation.”

I was the one who discovered the numerous scratches on the allegedly new window—not him. I sent him an email and copied Milgard about the scratches. He never called them himself—they, indeed, responded to me immediately. Petr did not. He assured me he would call them to coordinate repairing the scratches. He never did. I can confirm this with the rep I spoke to at Milgard.

2.       The picture of exterior damage he attached is one of TWO I sent him. Curiously, he only included only ONE AREA WindowFellas damaged. My attached pictures show the FOUR AREAS where his shoddy workers damaged my home. These areas had been freshly painted a week before his workers installed the window. He claims this damage was to be expected during installation—yet the areas in question were in no way part of the installation process. And why did his workers not fix the damage since it was quite noticeable? He no doubt has some poor excuse for this oversight.

3.       Two of the allegedly new window screens he replaced were damaged. I have attached pictures of the damaged screens. Yet he dishonestly insists they are not damaged despite evidence to the contrary. He has failed to respond to any attempt on my behalf for replacements. Meanwhile he took way the original screens without even asking. Who then lies here?

4.       In an email to me dated 6/10/16 Peter states:

We can do 1 of two things:

1- come back and repair your 3 paint chips (even though the contract says painting is not provided)

or

2- issue you a 10% refund for the window installation, but don’t expect us to ever come back to do any more “repairs” on it.

Please let me know which do you prefer.

FYI- I’m not providing you with the option of a refund because I’m scared of your blackmailing. We have fulfilled our part of the bargain fully and there is nothing we have done to deviate from it. The reason I’m even considering it is the fact that it may actually make you happy.

In my reply, I make it clear I will take option 2. I never heard from after that. Please note he calls my attempt to complain to Revdex.com “blackmailing.

As the owner, he unequivocally states he will give me a 10% refund. He never did. Again, who lies?

Finally and outrageously, he claims in his email to Revdex.com:

the customer, his only goal was to get a free ride and get some of his money back under the treat of going to social media at his disposal if I was not willing to give him some money

A free ride? He was paid in full for his installation. On what planet is that a free ride? I am asking for money to be rightfully returned to me for inadequate service, not given to me. Again, who lies here?

Outcome: I want the $163 I was promised by Petr.
Sincerely,[redacted]

Dear Revdex.com,
This complain is based on a lot of lies and half truths.
First off - after signing the contract the customer has been made aware of the projected lead time of 5-6weeks. By looking at the date on the contract and the date on the completion survey it is obvious that we rushed...

over to install this window the next day the window came to our warehouse accommodating the customer and installing 3 weeks earlier but despite this fact he marked the survey as not being on time.
The slight scratch visible in the picture was overlooked in the dim lighting of the warehouse and only discovered while we were cleaning the window for the customer after the installation. I spoke with the customer over the phone right away a few minutes after the installation was completed, reassuring we will submit a service request with the manufacturer as they warranty the product. I repeated this multiple times, and as the manufacturer's record indicates, we did so. The customer did not contact the manufacturer to get the service going. The manufacturer came out and repaired the scratch by polishing the vinyl to the customer's satisfaction.
The contract indicated the possible need for new exterior stops (we re-use existing if possible to save the homeowner the extra painting) and painting/staining is not provided. This is not considered damage but rather part of the process just like adding new exterior trim around the new windows that has to be prepared and painted and is the responsibility of the homeowner as stated on the contract.
Our installers and myself included are very courteous as indicated by our excellent review on Yelp, Google and Angie's list as well as hundreds of customer surveys. It has been also indicated in the completion survey by the customer by checking the box asking this question. After asking us to install the window off level so it slopes down the same way as the flooring, we politely explained that this is not possible due to the window units not working properly if we did so and this would also result in a loss of warranty from the manufacturer and this was the homeowner's only complain on the completion survey. This has been explained by me at the time of signing the contract and the customer was trying to make the installers to install the unit off level. I did have a phone conversation with the customer about it during the installation process explaining it again.
As the contract signed by the customer indicates, they agree to fail out customer survey and pay balance due at the time of completion.
This customer ordered additional 4 window screens and they were installed in new not damaged condition. The customer was trying to submit service request trying to obtain new screens under the warranty providing sizes os screen which were nowhere near the sizes of new screens provided by us trying to get new screens for free. We were contacted by the manufacturer to verify the original order with their records dating the screens the customer is trying to dispute were not installed by us. The customer has also not mentioned anything to the service personnel coming out to polish the window.

As indicated on the attached email sent to me by the customer, his only goal was to get a free ride and get some of his money back under the treat of going to social media at his disposal if I was not willing to give him some money. Shame on people ruining hard working well established businesses with a great reputation just to get some money out of them knowing that the social media have a great impact on businesses and are pretty much a one way street.

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you need more detail/information.
Sincerely,
Petr G[redacted]
Owner.

This project has been completed to the industry standards. We have submitted documents clearly showing the work has been completed to the customer's satisfaction. There is no reason for refund. After paying for materials, employees salary, the business is left with $150 profit which the customer is demanding a refund of a grater amount even though there is not a reason for it. We can not do a work without profit and warranty it for life on top of it. As stated in the email a was offering the discount but stating not to expect us to ever come back to do any repairs which in another words means losing labor warranty ( not the manufacturer's warranty).
I'm done responding. We have presented supporting evidence of completed project, following the contract and signed off on by the homeowner.
Any further attacks or our company or slander of our company is now going to be handled by our corporate attorney.

To the Revdex.com staff  !!! -  we have now received an email from our credit card processing agency saying that this person is now disputing charges on his credit card to get some of his money back due to not receiving service as advertised.

Have a good day

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:

This is the second time the owner has made some sort of threat because I am exercising my rights to use Revdex.com. His alleged attorney will tell him that right is protected under WA state law and his attempt to silence me with litigation is questionable if not potentially illegal. I have provided an email in which the owner tells me he will provide me with a refund—but then he says he will not come back to do repairs. This is in violation of his lifetime warranty on labor. I also recall, during a phone call on the same day he installed the window, that he said, bizzarely, “I don’t care if I make cent so long as you are happy.” He continually contradicts himself.
As to the issue about the credit card processing—that is a dispute that falls outside the purview of the window installation, which I did not contest with my Revdex.com complaint here.
Finally, the owner should be advised to be cautious about using legal terms like slander—he himself has allegedly committed libel against me at this point.
Sincerely,[redacted]
