The service agreement provided for the re-installation of all window screens. Screens were left uninstalled both inside and outside of my home.I contracted with Window Genie ([redacted], owner) for a exterior house wash and int/ext window cleaning. Total for the job was $575.As part of the agreement, [redacted] agreed in writing to reinstall some window screens that have fallen off of my house after cleaning the windows. He explained that there would be an extra charge to clean them but I declinedhe agreed only to put them back up.1. The technicians showed up on April 10th late, stayed in their vehicle for 45 min. or so eating breakfast, and started the work about 9am.2. The technicians were nice and professional and worked hard when they were actually working.3. The exterior house wash and window cleaning was complete at about 4pm. The technician said he thought the window screens were dirty and did not want to replace them until clean. He said he also did not have time to replace them as he had another job to go to.4. The technician suggested he come back on the weekend; I committed to clean the screens which I did. [redacted] then pressed for payment which I made in full for $575.5. The technician did not show up on the weekend.6. I emailed [redacted] repeatedly to come and complete the jobin addition to the screens outside, there was a screen left in my bathroom.7. [redacted] agreed in email that the service was abysmal but claimed he and his crew had no time to complete the job (all the while completing other jobs).8. [redacted] agreed on email to come himself to finish the work but wanted someone home. Since screens are placed on the outside, we don't need to be home for thatafter five weeks, it is unreasonable that we are inconvenienced by having to be here to watch him replace the screens.9. I placed the screen from my bathroom outside with the other screens and asked him to come at his convenience to re-install the screens. To this day, not [redacted] nor his technicians have returned to complete the work and re-install the screens.It's amazing to me that he can collect funds for work not provided and think that's OK.Please help. Thanks.Desired SettlementI'm seeking a refund of $200 of the $375 that was paid for the window cleaning. $100 of that is the actual charge of the labor not provided and part is compensation for my collection costs and for misrepresentation.More info received from the consumer 2014-05-18I informed [redacted] the owner of Window Genie that I had filed with the Revdex.com. Within two days, he and one of his technicians showed up and replaced all of the screens. They apologized several times for not completing the work and for the inconvenience.I consider this issue closed at this time.Thank you,[redacted]
