The company was contacted to fix a leaky roof. A check was given Aug 29th but service has not been provided after several attempts to contact them. The company was contacted to fix a leaky roof. [redacted] came to the house August 29th and agreed to take the job. A check for $300.00 was given to him and cashed. He has not returned to complete the job. We have contacted him and left messages. He did call back once in September and said he would come the following week. We have not heard anything since. Desired SettlementWe would like a refund of $300.00 for the service since it was not performed. Business Response Mr [redacted] fails to tell the whole story. He called called me to fix cracked siding on his house and to see if I could find a leak in his new roof that I did NOT install. I went to his house and fixed the siding and tried to find the leak in his roof from inside the attic and from on top of the roof. not seeing anything obvious I installed some polyurethane roof cement around his chimney the closest place to the leak. I told him if that didn't do it I would go back out and take the roof apart to find the leak. There would have been additional money owed to do that. Because for the most part I work alone I got tied up on a job and did not get back there in a timely fashion. Idid not install the roof that was leaking and I did perform a service for the money paid me.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)Mr. Chouqet came out to look at the leaking roof and the cracked siding. HE did fix the piece of siding which I supplied and which took about 15 minutes. He then went up on my roof and caulked around my chimney and spent about half an hour on that. After that he said he could come back and remove a section of roof to find my leak. I gave him a deposit of 300$ against that future work.He never returned despite many calls.I will accept a refund of 200$ with 100$ paid for the work done at the time of which I thought was a free estimate. What was done was definitely not worth 300$. HE was there less than an hour!Business Response Why in the world would Mr [redacted] think getting in my truck driving 25 minutes to his house fixing the cracked siding and checking his roof inside and out would be a FREE estimate. If fixing his siding was so easy why didn't he do it himself. I had the siding tool to fix it and the experience to take out a piece of siding in the middle of the house cut it and snap the new piec into place with the siding tool. I will send him back half of the money he gave me when business picks back up.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I will accept and drop this complaint when I am returned half of what was understood to be a deposit against future work. I assumed at the time that the work done at the original visit would have been included at the end of the roof repairs that was agreed upon when I gave a deposit to Mr. Chouqet. I never would have paid 300$ to anyone to fix one piece of siding and caulk around my chimney!

It is now July of 2013. He has not delivered and installed as of yet and he does not return calls. THESE WINDOWS AS WELL AS THE INSTALLATION HAVE BEEN PAID FOR IN FORM F A CHECK.Desired SettlementI want [redacted] to deliver the windows and deduct the price of installation as I do not want him in our home. Business' Initial Response I am returning the deposit of $365 to [redacted]. For some reason neither I or [redacted] can find the windows. I am sorry but it happens. Stupid things like no name on the order or the order didn't get confirmed causes it to get lost the process.Business' Final Response The deposit of $365.00 was for a $1095.00 job it did not cover the cost of 2 windows never mind the labor to put them in.

I paid for windows, which I never received, no resp. to calls, want my money back!!I contacted [redacted] in [redacted], and he contracted with my to replace my windows, he took a check for [redacted] on [redacted] 15, and said the windows would come in in about 6 weeks. I had to call repeatedly to get ONE phone call and he said he would call me when the windows were in. It is Now almost the end of Aug. and no windows, after 6 phone calls with no reply and my telling him I would seek legal action he has not responded. I want my money back, so I can get windows for my home.Desired SettlementI want my money back.

Win Wiz installed 14 new windows in sunroom. Shortly after install 3-4 windows can't be fully closed and locked shut. Co. ignore my calls and letterCertified Mail6/27/13[redacted], Window wiz[redacted]Phone: [redacted]Under MA General Laws, C93A, Sec 9, I hereby make written demand for relief as outlined in statute.Over winter of 2012-13 you removed old and installed new 14 windows mfg. by [redacted], including interior and exterior framing work. You completed your work per your statement and confirmation on 3-28-13 based on your confirmation all work was done. I believed this at the time and as a disabled senior was unable to do much to confirm this.I found the completion part within a few days not to be correct as windows could not be closed. So 2 then 4 phone calls followed. No response from you. Also the bar codes you promised to remove on screens remain undone, plus several of the molding frames are out of alignment.I demand the following: In 30 days I will have the necessary windows reframed/refracted so I can close them inside the house at cost of $400. Afterwards I'll pursue the framing and bar code issue, unless you address this.Without your written response we'll need to go to court in Dudley to resolve this mater.Chapter 93A gives you the opportunity to make a good faith response to this letter within 30 days, your failure to do so could subject to you triple damages, attorney's fees, and costs if I decide to institute legal action.Sincerely,[redacted]Cc: Worcester Revdex.com, [redacted] Window MFG. in Worcester, MADesired Settlementadjust the windows before I have to hire someone else to do this work.Business' Initial Response Mr [redacted] wanted some huricane relief fund work done to his house. After almost 2 years to apply for the funds he called me in December of 2012 with 4 weeks left to get the work done.Let's be clear there was no huricane damage to the house. After writing and re writing the contract and calling [redacted] to requote the order 5 times because Mr [redacted] wanted to get the price down. I ordered the windows. Due to inclement weather the windows weren't put in untill after the holidays. Mr [redacted] has 2 huge trapazoid windows in this room with no grids he told me to order the new windows to match those again to keep the price down. When they where installed he claimed he wanted the grids and during the course of re writing the contract 5 times the grids weren't [redacted]ed out.I reordered the window at my expense $1500.00. I installed new woodwork that he didn't pay for, I installed [redacted] trim boards instead of pine that he did not pay for.Mr [redacted] would leave me sitting in his driveway for hours in the morning despite telling me every night he would be home to let me in at 8am. He either is a very deceiving person or has a severe memory proplem.I started to bring help to the job only and I repeat only to have a backup to Mr [redacted] saying one thing and doing something else over and over.I lost $2200.00 not to mention time sitting in his driveway waiting to get to work most mornings. He has a blatant diregard for my time. Mr [redacted] did NOT send me a letter and despite the fact that I told him I would be working 3 hours away the next week he left 3 nasty messages over a sticker that comes on the screen. A sticker. I will try to make Mr [redacted] happy but I doubt I will. He also complained to me the roofing company didn't do it right and the hardwood floor guy didn't do it right,Consumer's Final Response The [redacted] Tech was here today and adjusted eac and every window over 1.5 hrs. Done as a warranty issue. What was pointed out was that the caulking had lapses and the internal molding was out of sync. Each window has a diferent measurement from the next. So, I'll have a carpenter evaluate the mess-up of Window Wiz and I will check witth the Commonwealth to determine if Window Wiz has the license to do carpentry work. So, please await response from a carpenter. Window Wiz is welcome to examine the windows at any time.[redacted]Business' Final Response I never never agreed I ordered the wrong windows. To get the price down he ordered windows to MATCH the other windows in the room. Windows with NO grids.

Over 34 years of business I can't count how many times I ordered windows or doors only to find out to late the check was no good sticking me with a garage full of products that don't fit anything and that I end up paying for. Again can't believe that was an issue. That I cashed the check.
