Didn't think to check for any reviews or Revdex.com complaints before we ordered our window (15 total), but we did after the fact. Have to admit that we were a bit concerned, but, in the end, we didn't need to be. The only real complaint we had was that we had to contact them to do the window measurements since they never contacted us to set up and appointment. Once the measurements were taken, it took over 7 weeks to get the windows. The crew that came to install our windows were all very polite and quite accommodating to answering our questions. They started at the back (not the sun side) of the house and they did a great job until they got to the front of the house. The outside temp was nearly 100 and their work showed this. While the windows seem to be installed correctly, the caulking work around the last 3 windows left a bit to be desired. The old caulking was not removed and the new caulking was either put over the old or didn't quite reach it and looks terrible. They could have done a better job cleaning up after themselves, but it wasn't too bad to clean up after them. We decided to get the 6000 series with the etched glass and we are quite pleased with the product. I would recommend Window World, but with a caution to stay on top of them before and during the installation process.

The cost of windows will be dependent on which person answers the phone (anywhere from $202.00 to $450.00. I submitted the online form for Window World to contact me regarding a free estimate on 5/25/2016 and called them 5/27/16 saying I was still waiting to be contacted to schedule an appointment, the girl that answered the phone couldn't answer any questions and said she would forward my information to sales and they would contact me, nothing. A couple of days later a different girl called and I advised I has already talked to someone who was to forward my information to sales but I haven't heard from them yet, I asked about the $189.00 window and was told that window is now $202.00, she was going to forward my information to sales also, nothing. I called back 6/05/16 and spoke to Kim who said their windows range $350.00-$400.00, I explained that I talked to someone in May who told me the $189.00 window was now $202.00 and asked if that were correct, Kim said no. I asked if Window World sells a window for $202.00 and she said yes but it's just a window, really!? So without a pause the cost just doubled, Kim said the $400 window included installation, again REALLY!?? I have been a customer in the past, but am not a customer today because of the above experience and I will be sure to share my experience with everyone I know that's even thinking of using Window World

I had 16 windows and 2 storm doors installed by Window World of Huntsville AL. The windows are perfect and the installation was the best I have ever had. The installation crew (Howie & Team) were professional and courteous and before they left, ensured my house was exactly as it was before they arrived - GREAT job!! Thee windows look great and the price was competitive. I highly recommend this organization and would be more than willing to show my windows to anyone contemplating window purchase and installation.

I had 3 leaking windows and 3 with crud between the panes. WW replaced the cruddy sashes so I appreciate that. today they took out one of the 3 leaking windows for inspection. WW insisted it's a leaky roof even though water marks start 1/2 down the left side of all 3 windows. and only the left side. WW is not interested in determining real problems but only in covering their [redacted].

I noticed the sill had a negative slope. (you can't see this unless the window is removed.) the sill was pushed down during installation and is now sloped towards the inside. in addition, the window was 1/2" too long. so water would run into the house. [redacted], WW guy, denied the window was too long.

these windows are not like other windows. for other insert windows, the inside stops are removed, the outside stop is then caulked and the new window (including sashes) is put in and rests against the pre-caulked outside stop. it's then screwed in and caulked. WW windows are more like a pre-assembled sash kit, not an insert replacement. both the inside AND outside stops are removed. the sashes are removed from the frame and the vinyl frame is screwed in (top and bottom). then the sashes are put back in the frame. then massive caulking occurs. and I mean massive...

the bottom corner on the leaking side had tons of caulk. the window itself was dry (duh, vinyl!) but WW windows have pocket sills, susceptible to leaking. well-built windows have a sloped sill design. what's the difference? read on...

The concept of the pocket sill window works like this:
1) Rain water hits the window and falls to the sill.
2) The water drains into the vinyl chambers (pockets) in the sill.
3) The water drains out of the closed pocket sill via weep holes, typically in the front of the window.

Here's how the sloped sill works in a vinyl window:
1) Rainwater hits the window and falls to the sill.
2) Water drains out of the weep holes on the bottom of the sloped sill.

to see a picture of the two types, go to http://windowanddoorguy.blogspot.com/2016/02/pocket-sill-vs-sloped-sill-windows.... />
the weep holes are in front and have tiny covers on them. I asked [redacted] how water was going to get out with the covers. he said the covers "lift up" when water needs to get out and are there to keep the bugs out.

Other windows are built to match the existing slope. not WW windows. they bottoms are FLAT. this might have been OK if they had installed a sill adapter (and measured correctly). here's a sill adapter: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w6P5L66JzHA

WW must also have poorly trained employees. the window I saw today was measured incorrectly 1/2" too long. when it was installed, they just jammed it in, which pushed down the slope of the original sill. I believe the pocket sill window, window being too long and just jamming it in was responsible for the leak.

no water damage was inside the wall. this means it's coming from the window. the water damaged the 1/8" paneling on the wall, but not the drywall behind it. no leak in the roof caused this damage, as [redacted] repeated about 18,000 times. it was errors made during measurement & installation and poorly designed windows. the installers could've flagged it or jammed it in. unfortunately they chose jamming.

I think the family who owns the huntsville window world franchise should hire folks who take precise measurements. they should tell their installers to flag jobs not measured properly instead of just jamming them in to make them fit. selling a better window would help too.

i'm going to get a hose and blast another leaky window to see how it leaks. i'm also going to call in an objective expert to analyze this. i'm tired of arguing with window world. it's obvious they do not want to see any problems with the window or installation because it will cost them $$. i'm not sure how long they can stay in business doing this kind of work. :(

my advice: buy windows elsewhere and install yourself. it's very easy to do. watch this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fe5ddlJBI8c

The worst customer service ever!!! Very slow fixing problems. Installers unprofessional and made a mess. Trampled through my flowers and left broken glass in my yard. Would never recommend them.

I would like to publicly thank Window World for the work done on my client's house this year. Over five years after the initial installation of her windows, some minor problems arose. Generally, I would have no luck getting such a business to assist my clients after five years had passed. However, when Window World says they stand by their work, they mean it. [redacted] and the Window World team went above and beyond to make sure every concern was addressed and my client is as thrilled with the result as she was with the original installation. Thank you, Window World for being one of the good guys!
