Window World of St. Louis Reviews (9)

From what I gathered in talking to Dustin back in August, he filed a complaint based on a misunderstanding and did not have all the facts. Once the confused was clarified, he apologized and mentioned that he would reach out to you and retract this complaint. This was about 1-days
from filing the complaintWe found out about the complaint from him and resolved the confusion before the Revdex.com even reached out to us Is this not the case in your records? *** ***

I am rejecting this response because: it can drag out fr months and can result in more damage to my home, and the forensic engineer that is license to inspect my home, hired by my insurance companyhe found in his detailed reportthat the windows were installed incorrectly from the first instalation, and the other times that window world sent out repair teams, they also cut into our drip pan, which they were not given permission, to dothat should have never been cut intoWe tried to give them several chances to reinstalled the windows correctlyand our roof was never the issuethe forensic engineer also stated thisthe forensic engineer clearly stated in his report the problem was no flashing and windows improperly and the drip pan was ruinedthe J Channel that window world installers put in was improperly installed as welland this is all in the forensic engineer's report that sent to window world as well for them to readin black and white with the engineer license on it.
Sincerely,

This company called and is offering to work with me on the issues stated in my complaint

It is Window World’s belief that this job was done correctly from the first installation.  We have scheduled appointments and shown up on time every single time Mr. [redacted] has called in.  We have removed flashing and windows and gone well above and beyond the call of duty to ensure they...

received top notch customer service.  The homeowners insurance company has deemed the window installation/flashing as the cause of the water leaking and has requested to subrogate the claim through the insurance of the installation team.  We have happily followed through with that request as well and all information has been pasted on to the correct parties at the carrier.  It is our request that this matter be tabled until a determination is made by the installation team’s insurance company.  If they find that water is coming in through the roof, which is our belief, then all the claims Mr. [redacted] is making towards Window World are null and void.  If in fact the installation teams insurance company agrees with the findings of the homeowner then Window World will be happy to address/close this matter with Mr. [redacted]. Until that time we do not feel it is fair to publish this negative review.

After having Window World install the siding on our house we had a squirrel infestation for the first time ever. We called Window World after having a roofer come to insure that there wasn't an ingress point on the roof itself. Window World came over went on the roof held a smartphone over and took a picture (blurry) and said, "Not our problem." After contacting three different Pest Control companies that all used ladders to go and actually look at the problem, they all reported that our J Channels had been left too loose and allowed the squirrels an access point. One of the companies said, "Design flaw."

Thank God we had hail damage and had to call in Medlin Construction to fix our roof. They took one look at the squirrel problem and said since we're already up here we'll take care of this for free. Because they were so service oriented we had them fix the hail damage to our siding as well. Thank You Medlin Construction! No Thank You Window World!

good jop

Don't waste your time with these people. I contracted for installation of windows and paid more than half up front. When they came to install them they wanted $100 more a window for install. When I refused they left the windows and left. They won't take back the windows and give me a refund. They did finally offer to install them at the 1st agreed upon price but after seeing the product and their install crew I don't feel good about either. SO STAY AWAY AND REMEMBER YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! Unless you deal with Window World then you don't even get that.

I have resolved the complaint with the business.

Very happy with the service, they were on time for the first appointment to measure windows, he sat and explained the differences to me, without trying to upsale like crazy.

The windows were ready for installation before the time my salesman had told me, and the installers were proffessional and courtious, and had 8 windows and tthe second floor done in about 2 hours including all clean up.

They will be out again soon to finish my lower level windows.
