Just to warn other people...DON'T DEAL WITH WINDOW WORLD...I signed a contract, in May, got scheduled for July, and twice- no shows. Then got rescheduled for August The guy comes out to measure window and has an attitude with my husband, extremely rude and tells us that it's Saturday and his crew didn't feel like coming in today... Uhh.. isn't this your job?!?! Oh, and on top of that he breaks the other window while measuring and leaves. To this day they took my money and I still have no windows!!!! Terrible, terrible company!!! STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!

I put in an order to have my windows replaced because only 1 of 16 windows in the entire house could open. My old window's lift handles were brittle and continued to crack with every attempt to use them. The crew who came and replaced the 16 windows of my house knocked out the work quickly and efficiently, with great quality installation, and with a price tag you can't beat! A lot of times you only get 2 out of the 3. The crew functions like a well-oiled machine. They are extremely skilled and experienced with their removal and installs, and you can tell they take pride in what they do. Just take a look at the detailed trim work. They were flexible with my availability to perform the install. They came in on a Saturday to perform the work and I thought it was going to take my entire day off for them to finish. That wasn't the case. It's quite amazing to see if you ever get the opportunity to witness it first hand. They were very professional and made customer satisfaction their number 1 priority. I thought removal of the windows would leave a mess, but their cleanliness made it seem like they weren't even here. Window World's guarantee and warranty sold me on their product and installation. The material seems very durable and will probably last forever. Their windows are very easy to use and are a breeze to clean with the tilt in design. They probably have such a good warranty on their stuff because they are confident that their product's components won't fail and you won't ever have to use it... I don't foresee having any problems with my windows ever. I recommend Window World of Tidewater to anyone looking at getting quality windows for a great price and guarantee on their product.
We purchased our current home in 2002 and in September of 2005, we had all the windows replaced by Window World. This included 23 double hung windows, 4 sliding patio doors and 1 large picture window, so this was a large purchase for us. We got estimates from 4 or 5 major companies. We chose Window World, partially based on price, but mostly based on the sensible demonstration, which did not include the smoke and mirror tricks or wild claims made by others. All offered some type of warranty, but from our past experience with lifetime limited guarantees, we knew they were more likely to be limited than lifetime.
So, eleven problem free years later, when I noticed a leak above one of the patio doors during a nor'easter, I didn't hold much hope as I called the phone number given to me in 2005. I was completely surprised, first when a pleasant voice immediately answered, "Window World," and even more so when she quickly found our file and told me the leak would be covered by their warranty. The Window World representative, [redacted] who arrived a few days later, repaired the leak and cleaned up in less than an hour. He also inspected another patio door which had begun to appear cloudy and a window with a hairline crack of unknown origin. He told me they both needed to be replaced and would also be covered by the warranty. (Seriously?) He ordered them on the spot and returned about two weeks later to deliver and install them.
I had put off calling about these for months, as I doubted they would be covered without argument and I didn't want to go through the hassle. Plus, I dreaded the mess and pain of having to move my rather extensive rock collection out of the way, no matter who I might find to fix the windows. As it turned out, [redacted] called the morning of the appointment to ask if he could come earlier than scheduled, as his previous client had cancelled. He arrived before I had a chance to even begin relocating the heavy rocks and shelves, but he said only one small rack needed to be moved over a few inches and he could do all the rest from the outside. [redacted] was professional and extremely efficient. I could not believe how quickly he installed those windows. Best of all, the entire process, from phone call to finish, was completely mess and hassle free!
