Window World of Western Massachusetts

This review is strictly my opinion based on an experience I had with patio doors and a kitchen window that I contracted window world of western mass to install in my home Day one they arrive and install two patio doors and one windowOne of the patio doors for some reason they had alot of problems installing and ultimatly had to order a bew doorFrom there on I got alot of diffrent stories about what was wrong, what they needed, and when it would be correctedBottom line is the handles on the patio doors were 4" off, meaning the left door handle was 4" higher than the right I arrived home and looked at what they had done and was floored by the work that had been donethe finish work, in my opinion, was some of the worst I have ever seen They had gouged the interior window sill with a saws, there were huge gaps in the corners they mitered, the exterior aluminum flashing had nailes pounded thru the facia( not on the interior or exterior sides as is customly done ), there were huge gaps where you could see the wood underneath and some was installed crooked just to name a few One month later ( plus or minus ) I receive a call that my replacement door has come in and they want to send out two crews to fix all my concerns and replace the defective door and install the last of the patio doors When they arrived I asked the owner, Bob [redacted] for the installers HIC # and he assured me he would get it but by days end it turned out that while he had submitted n an application for renewal (days prior to starting to tear apart my house ) it was rejected ( because it wasnt a renewal ,he had to apply for his HIC with a new application )so at the time he started the work he was not a registered HIC with the state and infact is still not registered! Bob [redacted] admitted to me that he never asked or saw a copy of the HIC registration and assumed he had itBottom line is they have to have at least an HIC registered contractor on site to replace windows and sliders and this guy clearly wasntOnce we found out the guy didnt have an HIC( only because I pushed it ) Bob [redacted] tried to tell me he was actually an employee so he worked under his contractors liscense ???( this after he had told me earlier that he was a sub and thats why he only needed an HIC ) Couldnt be because he wasnt there at anytime the work was being done on day one, so nobody had the proper credentials to be working on my houseIn my opinion, the work they did is horrible and based on my experience speaking with Bob [redacted] of window world of western mass he is a dishonest business man looking to skate by with sub par work utilizing unlicensed sub contractorsOf course this is my opinion based solely on my direct dealings with Bob [redacted] of Window World of Western Mass P.S the new patio door they installed has to be slammed to close, the trim on the back is now falling off, the locks on th doors operate in diffrent directons, they pounded nailes thru the aluminum facia on all but one door even after I told them that wasnt aceptable, window sill replaced but not routered to match the rest, more gouges on window casing and you guessed it, still have gaps in moldingsAll this after I told them they would have one more shot to make things right !! I will say that the two guys who installed the last patio door ( and didnt pound nails thru the aluminum facia ) did a great jobThat door is great!

I can't express how completely satisfied my fiancé and I are with the windows and service we received from Window WorldThey were able to accommodate our crazy schedule and install windows, including a large picture window in hoursThe three man crew went through and put down drop clothes and cleaned up after each windowThe windows looks fantastic! Not to mention, lifetime screen replacements will come in handy in the coming years since our cats wilI likely have their way with themBefore the crew left, we had the pleasure of meeting the owner of the company, which was pretty coolIt's nice to see that he could take the time out of his day to come and meet with us and ask about our experienceHe looked over everything to make sure it was perfectI trust Window World and would recommend them to anyone who needs new windows, and doors! I cannot wait to see what kind of heat improvements we will have when the winter comesThanks so much!
