Hired Windowrama by Paul for window capping but they did such a *** job that it resulted in rain water coming into the finished interior and ruining my newly installed floors. The repair for the damage due to improper window capping was over $7000. They also charged and collected HST, but failed to provide a valid receipt when I asked them for it. I have called the company numerous times, written emails, text messages with no reply. I have sent a letter but it came back as undeliverable.
$7000 the cost of repairs for the damage caused by the leaks.
Hello,
As reviewing our files we have a contract with the customer. There was NO changing of windows in her home. The customer had *** to us stating that it was safe to do work in the home, when the installers arrived there was parts in the home where the ceilings was falling apart, the brick work on the job was done very poorly and had a lot of gaps and spacing that water could leak in. Any expert in trades work will be able know that capping will not block water 100% if the job that capping is used for was done improper. We have photos of the floor with leaks coming in already, which I have attached. So in regards to leaking caused by us we have 0 fault in but we are deeply sorry for the inconvenience. I have phoned Ms. several times to fax over her invoice, which was properly made, but unfortunately I cannot show a copy due to company policy.
Thank you.

No attempt was made by windowrama to amend the situation. The statement by windowrama are a ***. I did not have windows replaced , but capping was agreed to be done on my existing windows as stated on the work order. *** the company should have made it clear that there was a problem on the premises prior to starting the job. And that they are not able to do it ***.. They do not have pictures to show what they are accusing me of and *** see from their response that they are taking *** no responsibility for their *** workmanship and work ethic.
Hello,
As stated before we have more photos to show that the water damage was not caused by us. As explained to the customer that the capping would not protect from water if the previous job was done improper. I am also able to provide more photos to show the condition of the issue when our installers have arrived.

As I stated in my previous response, Windowrama is bound to 5 year warranty on labour as stated on our contract. The window capping was not done correctly because the installers were ***. They capped right against the brick and used silicone that did not hold. They also sloped the capping toward the window. This allowed the water to be trapped behind the frame and caused damage. If Windowrama had an issue with the premises prior installation, they should have addressed it or advised me that they are not able to do the job properly. Instead, they pretended everything was okay, did a *** job capping, took my money and failed to send me a receipt for the work. On top of that, they charged HST and failed to provide an invoice via email or regular mail. Charging HST without an HST number ***. *** I have since hired a *** window installer
